We went for lunch and NO ONE even noticed our existence. We went inside to get a drink and to go get our food (took an hour to... recive 3 meals? A cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and a pizza). Wouldn't go for lunch if you are on a time frame, wouldn't go ifyou want good service. Also the online menu is WRONG on pricing so they need to update as well. The food is exceptionally mediocre for what it is and the fact they have karaoke blaring outside the restaurant is ridiculous. I... get having karaoke but not everyone is there for that but that don't leave that option at all. I feel sorry for the businessesnext door and the hotel having to be around that type of behavior. Food was pretty terrible. They told us that they served nothing that was previously frozen. I can?t believe I?m say this, but it... would have probably been better if they had. Those fries are a crime against humanity. Place was completely dead (we wereliterally the only ones there) but they still leave you to do completely independent QR code service. On top of that, they don?teven provide a complete QR code menu, so you have to go chase somebody down even if you just want something to drink. Then whenyou check out and add a tip, it tells you AFTER the fact that they have already charged you a 20% gratuity in advance and thatthe money you added for a tip is just extra. And you can?t undo it. We just unknowingly tipped 38% for one of the worst diningexperiences we have ever had. The only reason we are leaving two stars instead of one is because the drinks were good when wefinally got them, and when we did get to talk to staff memebers they were friendly. Will not be going back. We are both serviceindustry. We are forgiving when it comes to shortcomings in restaurants. This was trash. Read more
Staff is engaged and personable. They're in it with you, they're not just about getting out of there. They seem to really... believe in Moody's. Came in for a drink, left 4 hours later. Moody's is absolutely my favorite restaurant/bar in Austin. First of all, the staff is AMAZING (especially Eli). I brought my... with me mom the first time I visited and we ended up having such a great time we stayed 3 hours and sang karaoke all night. As agrad student, this is a very nice vibe. The drinks are made from high quality liquor, they have multiple frozen options(including the best Froze I have ever had), also great appetizers. I haven't tried the pizza yet but it looks like a hugeserving for the price! The restaurant has a very open, clean, and green environment. They play neutral music, have free wifi,and a great happy hour. Fantastic place to study and have a cocktail or take your mom/friends out for a fun evening. Not filledwith a bunch of undergrads which is nice. 10/10 recommend!!!! Read more
Moody's offers food and beverages fit for any mood you're in. It's the perfect marriage of day to night, with its indoor &... outdoor seating. The menu offers big flavors & a great selection of items and custom cocktails, all at an affordable price! Iordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries(my favorite) with a Pickle Tickler cocktail( super refreshing & I loved the name), and boythese items didn't disappoint! The staff was super friendly and outgoing, and I received stellar service! Though Moody's is new,it definitely felt like home and anytime I'm in Austin, I will be stopping by. Having worked in the service industry, this experience was definitely not the best. There were hardly any people when we went,... yet it took an hour for our food to be prepared and none of the employees even acknowledged that we were there. They just keptwalking passed me and ignoring the fact that I needed their assistance. After asking for help they would just say ?just asecond? and walk off and not come back.
