Stopped by Pelons because it was near my hotel was I am in Austin for business. I am SO HAPPY I did. The food (carnitas... enchiladas) is amazing. The margaritas are amazing. And they have some of the best salsa I've ever had (Pelons management -you should seriously bottle and sell your salsa. Put me down for the first bottle if you do!). Evon and Jojo are both stellar bartenders, timely awesome and engaging. The service is impeccable and this is what pure ecstasy... looks like. The Mexican old fashioned is a must drink item. Pelons is so great! I can't believe I've lived in Austin this long and haven't been until now! Not only is it really cute with a... great patio with a giant tree, the food was really good! I don't generally love Tex Mex because it usually seems mediocre, witha giant slathering of refried beans and cheese. Pelons was impressive! My tacos were tasty, but I think when we come back I willget what my husband got, the Carnitas Enchiladas, which our server recommended. Our server was great, also. We will be comingback soon!
