Update: The owner reached out and was really nice. He said that's not supposed to happen. This really is one of the best Poke... places in Austin. SUPER lazy staff, I got there 10+ min before they closed and they told me they couldn't make food causethey're "already closed" I asked if they closed at 7 and they said they did but didn't want to make any more food cause theyalready started cleaning up... Been coming here off and on since it opened. Where other poke spots build overflowing bowls with an avalanche of toppings,... Poke-Poke is fish-forward with a straightforward menu that celebrates a mix of Native Hawaiian and Asian flavor. A few thingsholding them back: the fruit additions are not always ripe, 50/50 base split results in upcharge, the place really needs somelove and cleaning (especially behind the counter), and the premium add-ons are sometimes stingy for the price. Overall, stillone of my favorite poke spots in town. Read more

First time to visit, but won't be my last. Excellent flavors and quality of fish. They are a bit different from most poke... places in that it's not a "build-your-own" bowl. They have specific bowls that are starters and then you can customize. I wentfor JT's with brown rice and really enjoyed it. Will get a photo next time. Read more

This is the best poke in Austin. Freshest. Best tasting. Closely resembles what I had in Hawaii. They also finally opened up... their dining room. Read more

The actual poke was delicious and the best I?ve found in Austin by far. But the location is really dirty, there were empty boxes... stacked up next to tables, very few refrigerated drinks but cases of warm beverages stacked up on top of the cooler, and it wasoverall very dirty inside and in a state of disarray. Very expensive for the portion size you get but if it?s quality I?ll paymore. I?ll give it another try but I don?t want to pay more and sit in a dirty gas station-like dining room either. Read more

SO SMALL! Priced like a normal sized poke bowl (~$13) but so small it fits in the palm of your hand lol. I think the most... egregious part was that you pay extra for seaweed salad and get maybe a few strands... Taste was good but seriously overpricedfor a small portion. Look at my pictures for reference! Read more
