Thanks to Annie for recommending this place to us on our visit to Austin! Vietnamese and BBQ fusion!!??! This is by far the best... fusion I’ve had in a while. You sit yourself at any table, scan the QR code, and the food gets brought out to you. Lovely cozyplace and very friendly staff. Let’s dig into the food, we had an order of Smoking Fries and a Banh Mi. The fries are donejust done right; crispy, flavorful and served warm! All the toppings including meat are very generous servings, which makesthese fries the perfect shareable. The Banh Mi was nicely crafted with fresh ingredients and a good portion of protein. I thinkit’s worth pointing out that the carrots in the Banh Mi have that nice, crunchy and sweet taste which brings it together. Atasty lunch/ brunch meal! Read more

Heard many good things before trying food from this restaurant. We ordered the viet style plate, smokin’ fries, spicy pork... belly banh mi, and two sides of Vietnamese coleslaw to take home. All these plates were plenty of food to be shared betweenthree adults. The brisket from the viet style plate was super tender and did not require any chew. The pork belly looked likeit would tough to chew; it ended up being crunchy and soft. The fries were interesting idea and worked but I thought the meatswere a little dry due to being shredded into little pieces. The spicy pork banh mi was spicy! The jalapeños made theirpresence known. The baguette bread was crispy and crunchy outside with a soft interior. The pork belly was soft. TheVietnamese coleslaw was my ultimate favorite out of all the plates. It was vinegary and a little sweet; very refreshing. If Iwere to visit again I would definitely order the spicy pork belly banh mi again along with another kind of banh mi with theVietnamese coleslaw. My new favorite place! Amazing food and drinks. I'm still dreaming about the banh mi with brisket and pork belly... How many... layers of fusion are happening here? And there are some new cocktails that aren't on the main menu yet that were delightfullyinventive and well-balanced. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious and clearly made with love. But the BEST, BEST thing...Remember how Austin used to have a bunch of unique, friendly, laid-back, non-pretentious, owner-run places with a neighborhoodfeel but where everybody was welcome? Smokin Beauty nails that vanishing vibe, which makes you want to go back and back and hangout way after you've finished your meal. And that's easy to do because they have lots of live music. Some of the best BBQ I've had in Austin. Everyone I've taken there has loved it, highly recommend it. There is also shaded... outdoor seating if you don't like loud music/ want to avoid COVID. The brisket bahn mi with potato salad is the best. They alsohave delicious Vietnamese coffee. ?????? Also shout out to the owners and staff for their fantastic customer service, we lovey'all!
