I ordered off Grubhub. Now that I see it is a food truck, things make sense. The tortillas (flour) were pretty great. The meat... was not as savory as I would hope for, and was a bit dry. As I was finishing up my 3rd and last taco of the pack, I found ahair. That ruined my entire day knowing I had put my trust in a restaurant to exercise proper procedural tactics to preventthings like this and was let down. Carne asada burritos for me will forever be AZmex bc the 1st time I tried it was out in Tempe at Filibertos/Alibertos ... Lettuce-tomato and grilled a nice twist. Was bigger/cheaper at ASU, but that was 16-20 yrs ago. Solid. Would revisit. Read more
We?ve been going there for about 4 years and we loved it. however the last times we went the lady that takes the orders was so... rude and rushing us to order (no one else was there at the time) I gave her a paper with the names and the orders and she forgotmultiple items, it seems like on purpose. We found a better place right in front of them and won?t be back. We miss the owner,he was friendly and food was amazing. Now not so much. Read more

I thought the food was ok, it tasted a little bland. However, the man working in the food truck was super nice and friendly.... Additionally, Jefe's is easy-going about doing any substitutions if needed, so vegetarians can substitute beans for any meatson any of the dishes. The food is made fresh in the truck and is also very affordable. I'd recommend it for people on a budgetwho want fresh tex-mex. Read more
Maybe I had a great experience but I feel their rating should be higher. If I could, I'd give 4.5. I had a barbacoa, carnita,... pastor and asada taco and they were all top notch. I wouldn't give 5 stars but it was very close! Read more
