Did you know there is a high-end restaurant located right ON the UT campus? Behind the MBA building you’ll find The Carillon... which specializes in contemporary American fare. They offer a 3-course meal for $45 with your choice of starter, main, anddessert. I got 2 selections from each category such as: Starters: - Berkwood Farms Pork Belly ($14): you get an array offlavors from the refreshing herbal Japanese cucumber to the sweet and tart flavors from their pineapple butter, to the richfatty flavor of the pork! (4.5/5) - Baby Iceberg Wedge ($9): nothing particularly different about this, but it does have bigchunks of bacon and cornbread crumbs on top which made it fun. (3/5) Mains: - Georges Bank Scallops ($42): comes with sweetpotato, asian pear, pureed sweet potato, and leek butter. One of the more fun takes on scallops I’ve had! (3.25/5) - MarfaMeats N.Y. Strip ($46): comes with potatoes, broccolini, and bordelaise (a sauce made up of red wine, bone marrow, butter, etc.)which was tasty! This deep, rich sauce paired with the chewy beef made for a great combination. (4/5) Desserts: - Chocolate onChocolate ($9): a dense, dark chocolate taste with a nice slight crunch on the inside with kicks of sweet raspberry. (4/5) -Espresso Chocolate Tart ($9): if you’re looking for something more on the coffee side of things, then you’ll like this. Washoping the tart would have been a bit more soft however. (3.25/5) Drinks: - Suntory’s 6 ($13): gin cocktail with raspberrywith hints of bright, bitter, and sweet notes. (3.5/5) - The French Mule ($12): vodka cocktail with lime and ginger beer withhints of bubbly, sour, and refreshing notes. (3.5/5) The 3-course meal is a no brainer because if you bought all this food a lacarte, you would have spent $129 vs just $90. If you live near by, it’s not a bad spot to go on a date or to celebrate aspecial occasion like graduation. I may have liked some items more than others, but nothing here was bad, so they did a go Read more

Wow, this may have been the best meal I’ve ever had! The staff was incredible and personable with flowers on our table for my... birthday and the food was beyond. The culinary staff here deserve a ton of recognition and if you haven’t been here or are onthe fence, go! You absolutely won’t regret it. From the cheese and meat board to the hamachi starter and then the NY Strip andTexas lamb shank… I could go on for days!!! Kudos to this team!!! I’ll be dreaming of this meal forever! Read more

We were here a few years ago and it was just Ok. Today, our way to a Post Malone concert, we to tried it again. Wow! What an... improvement! First, all staff from the front door to the hostess and host to waiter and his assistant were as polished and haveever experienced anywhere. The charcuterie and cheese board was varied, fresh and very good. Marmalades, cheeses, cold cutscrackers, dry figs and gherkins a good mix of flavors and textures. The wedge, carpaccio and pork belly well executed anddelicious. As for main dishes the NY strips were flawless and perfectly medium rare. Deserts also beautiful and delicious. Ihear the chef used to work at Uchi if it’s true, it explains a lot. This is must visit and a place that will likely see mevisit often. Sorry for the incomplete dish images, we had a concert to get to… Thank you and well done! Read more

What a lovely restaurant! The food was amazing. Our server, Caleb, did an outstanding job. It was my daughter's birthday and... they brought flowers to our table and let us keep them. It was a perfect dinner. Read more

Oh my goodness! We happened upon this place by accident on the way to the Eagles Concert. It was AMAZING!!! It was a prefix... menu. The options were good. The salad and deserts were works of art and tasted as good as they looked. The steak was cooked toperfection, tender and seasoned correctly. The staff treated us like royalty. This will be an absolute must when theypermanently open in the fall anytime we are in Austin, a new favorite for sure! Read more

Great restaurant right below the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center… walking distance from any UT building, especially from... McCombs school of business. Really good breakfast and delicious lunch. Never disappointed me. Con: 20% service fee confused methe first time but nothing serious to deduct a star. Read more

Very pleasant experience! We came in for my birthday lunch yesterday, and everything was perfect. Food was served on time,... beautiful presentation, and flavors spot on. Chefs-owned restaurants are the way to go! And they served a little cake at the endfor my birthday too. Very good espresso, service of very high quality too. Totally worth the price, which wasn't that hight atall for the quality of the whole experience. I'll definitely go back again, hopefully with my family from Europe. Read more
