Had a few things with the wife (who is from India).\nVeg samosa- good, small but tasty\nNaan - small one piece doesn\'t seem... like it is freshly made there\nLamb Rogan josh- it was lamb. The gravy was tasty but it was not Rogan Josh as I have ever seenor tasted it. Would not do again.\nMalai kofta - good gravy (looked and tasted just like the Rogan Josh) the kofta was justpotato. It is supposed to be mixed veg but was only hunks of potato.\n\nProbably won\'t go again. Read more

Little Nepali restaurant on the truck. Very friendly staff.\n\nPlenty of vegetarian options with generous portions that can... easily be shared. Liked the perfect combination of spices in the curry.\n\nOn a really hot day sitting outside could be tough, but with Austin breeze and under the tree shade, it was pretty good. Enjoyed the outdoor eating in the middle of the woods. Read more

I hate giving 1 star reviews but it\'s only when you completely lose the plot is when you deserve it, and unfortunately The... Everest Kitchen did just that. The Veg Chowmein was so disappointing as they used Spaghetti noodles instead of Hakka along withwaffle cut carrots and bean legumes....like what? Either they\'ve never had a Veg Chowmein from the subcontinent or they justcheaped out on the actual ingredients that need to be put in. Their Korma was also incredibly underwhelming. In both cases, asothers have mentioned, the quantity was also less for the price charged.\n\nProbably my most underwhelming Indian foodexperience in the US in last 5 years, up there with a guy who put tomatoes in biryani. It is in truck; not a drive through. Worst chicken MoMo ever had. Worst Chicken Wrap/Roll. Hiding in bush somewhere so difficult... to find their truck. Ruining Nepalese taste in foreign land. Read more

Very good and fresh food. The chicken chowmein and veg momos are good. The staff is very friendly and the hot sauce are amazing.... I would like to see tandoori or chilli momos added to the menu, hopefully. Great potential. Read more

I wasn\'t very hungry and my stomach was bothering me. I stopped got some mulligatawny (lentil soup) and naan bread. The soup... was perfect It was real hot and fresh. The right amount of saltiness and the lentils were the right consistency and herbs.. Iabsolutely loved. In the picture below I had already started eating it was Filled to the top. It also helped my stomach feel somuch better Thank you so much for making this so delicious. And maybe feel so much better. Read more

We love the Thicket, yet we seem to arrive when most trucks are sold out. Glad they were, though, because we got to try Everest... Nepali Kitchen.\nShared several dishes with my toddler. Her favorites were the cheese sticks and perfectly cooked rice (ofcourse!).\nI loved the veggie samosas and would like to try the saag next time. The Chana Masala was really soupy, but maybethat is more traditional Nepali? I don\'t know. It was good, just soupier than I\'m used to. I\'ll definitely be back to trymore dishes.\nGuys are very sweet and efficient too, not sure about these other reviewer\'s long waits but ours took 15 minuteson a pretty Sunday.\nThe playground exists, and is really random and salvaged, but kids don\'t care! It took 45 minutes to get our food. We watched them give it to someone else, then that person brought it back and it sat on the... counter for a while. We had to go ask for it because the park was clearing out so we felt like it had to be our food. No apologyor whoops or anything, the guy just acted like nothing weird had happened there. Also, it was $40+ for two small meals, a singlepersonal-sized circle of naan, and a drink. The rice comes in a tiny half pint container. I took a picture of it so you knowwhat I mean. It was tiny rice, like white people white rice vs the longer basmati rice i usually see at Indian places. My paneerwas so rubbery and squeaky that I googled whether paneer ever squeaked because I wasn’t sure what I was eating. Google told mepaneer can be squeaky, so there’s that, but to me it resembled over-fried tofu in chew more than paneer. I’m not going tofinish it because it doesn’t taste like much of anything and slogging through piece after piece of hard, dry paneer is makingme depressed. It’s not the worst food I ever ate but it might be the worst food I’ve had for $40, and it’s made me latefor everything else I hoped to get done this evening by taking an absurd amount of time to be ready for pickup. I could havewalked to Asiana over by 35 and got double the food in better quality for $40 in the amount of time it took for this order to bedone. Really disappointing. Read more
