UPDATE AS OF 8/20/22: Went to Torchy?s again. Still a JOKE OF AN OPERATION. As I?m getting in my car after picking up my... paid-for online order, a Torchy?s employee runs outside saying ?sir! sir! did you pay for that?!? What in the world?! I wasliterally accused of theft from an employee that should?ve already been aware whether or not the bags he handed me were paidfor. Do they seriously not have a way to check whether an ONLINE ORDER has been paid for without having to run outside andstartle me while accusing me of being a thief? Of course they do, but their incompetent staff seems unable to even handle such asimple task. Can you even place an online order without it being paid for? I?m pretty sure no, you can?t. __________ ORIGINALREVIEW FROM MID JULY 2022: Joke of an operation. A couple days ago, I waited *an hour* for my food. After being told repeatedlythat it would be out soon, they then said they didn?t have my order and to confirm I ordered at the right location. I showedthem my email confirmation, and they finally ?found? my order. After waiting, literally, an hour for two freaking fish tacos,they offered me a $5 gift card. What a joke! Figured I?d give them another try tonight. I drove over to the restaurant to orderin person this time (since they clearly have issues with their online ordering system)?only to see they?ve wasted their patrons?time, again. The store is closed an hour before their stated closing time. It says 11pm on Google. It is 10pm, and they?reclosed. If they have something going on that has affected their operating hours, it takes *seconds* to update everyone via theirGoogle listing. They clearly don?t care about their patrons and can?t be bothered to hire good management. A $5 gift card forwaiting AN HOUR for two tacos and some chips and salsa. An offensive joke. Read more
I never actually tried these tacos as a student at UT but came back after a number of years and was kicking myself that I hadn?t... tried it earlier. Every flavor I tried was delicious (and I had about 3-4 different kinds) and the overall ambience was chilland laid back. Tacos were good, not really sure the hype of these but it?s a chain, so I?m sure it?s a solid option like Starbucks, you know... what you get regardless of location. I tried the Trailer park, so maybe not the best to judge them but I asked the cashier whatthe most popular was and he suggest that. Above average Tex mex craft tacos at best. Solid chain and maintains certain level of quality across the board. However, nothing... crazy about this spot. Staff was great and I would recommend going for a quick bite. The bar is pretty big and great for largegroups as well. Read more
