This restaurant still has a nice view and looks nice inside and out. However the food and service has declined immensely. We... used to come here every couple of months but we are going to take a break for a while in hopes that they work things out. As a guest at a 4star resort like this, I expect room service. Or some sort of food available on the property. No food menus... at the huge pool, no food inside hotel. I walked around in my bathing suit like an idiot for 30 minutes trying to findit. Second attempt- Online it said it have a breakfast voucher. False. My eggs were watery, unseasoned. No flavorings availablefor coffee/latte. Toast was sliced wonder bread & cold. Call me a prude, whatever.. but I’m at this property for 3 days & amsuper upset that this is my only option to eat. With all these drunk people wandering around, you’d think there would beeasier access to quality, reasonably priced food. Read more
The only reason this restaurant is still in business, is because there is no alternative. We are staying at the Lakeway resort... and have 'dined' in this restaurant two nights in a row. The first night was forgetful, overpriced and painfully slow, whichwas surprising since we were the only table on a Thursday at 6pm. The following night however, we decided to go again out oflack of options. The restaurant was about 1/4 full and we ordered cocktails and the nights special appetizer of oysters on thehalf shell. 90 minutes later we received our appetizers which were on salt, not ice which was totally abnormal. Two of thecouples we were with sent it back because it was so odd. My husband and I ate ours, and while it was the worst oysterexperience of my life, I think they were safe... Then comes the main course. My husband ordered the same club sandwich he hadthe night before, however this time it was so incredibly spicy!! There was absolutely no reason for the spice. It wasnt on themenu that way and the only explanation is retaliation for spending back the oysters. I literally will never step foot in thatrestaurant again. Read more
I would always order the Mesquite Baby Rib, Blue cheese Pizza again. Very nice view for date night and great service.
Celebrating our tenth year wedding anniversary! Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. Manager Bhye was extremely attentive and... made sure we had a great experience from the minute we walked up to the door. Recommended to anyone who wants some quite time(in January)and great food. Read more
If we could rate them 10?? we would. Ina, the kitchen manager, the hostess, Cake, & each of our servers for many meals we had... there were great. The chef at the TR restaurant is a talented & awesome chef!! The New York steaks melted in our mouths, thegarlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Even their Build your own Burger was tasty & juicy. The sweet potato fries & slicedpickles were even homemade! We loved the pickles so much that Ina (restaurant manager) brought us extra pickles to take withus. The breakfast omelettes were light & large, the Apple smoked bacon, & fried potatoes hit the spot. The Texas waffles and theFrench Toast with coconut & caramelized bananas were best ever! We are from out of town on vacation and trying different places. By far the best we’ve had. Dinner was amazing. We got the bbq... octopus and filet, both cooked perfectly and the espresso martinis were excellent! Shaylin was very attentive and service waswonderful.
