Trudy?s is a spacious establishment! The service was good and the food came out in a timely manner. Their portion sizes are... worth the price. The food was tasty and well seasoned. Wouldn?t mind visiting again with friends or family Read more

Cool atmosphere inside or a nice patio with lots of seating. Excellent food and the drinks are just as good, especially the... Mexican martinis. The shrimp enchiladas and shrimp tacos were very good. My go to spot up north! Read more

Fantastic as always. Walked in & sat at the bar. The Mexican Martini we shared was tasty but missing the usual pepper-stuffed... olives. We got 4 regular green olives in each of our glasses (& I'm the only one who eats them), so I'll let it slide. I wentspecifically for the Migas Enchiladas with chipotle sauce, and they were amazing. I got refried beans and rice for my sides andboth were excellent. This is my favorite overall dish there since I first had them 20 years ago. I was asked if I wantedhashbrowns instead of beans, but I like to eat the beans with the enchiladas, so maybe next time. The hubbs had the Tex-MexCombo Plate with 2 cheese enchiladas, a beef taco, rice, black beans and quacamole on a lettuce bed. He ate it all. I like theGuad location, but we always seem to end up at North Star. The breakfast buffet there has always been my favorite in all of theATX & surrounding areas. Guess we'll be back for brunch next! My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. There is plenty of parking out front of this Northern Austin location. The... restaurant was not terribly busy, and so we were seated promptly. We enjoyed the cheese enchiladas and a side of guacamole. Theyprovide free chips and salsa both red and green. Very tasty! Our guacamole was a generous portion, if not inexpensive. Theenchilada plates were very tasty and come with delicious thick corn tortillas made on premises. The service was very good! (Ararity nowadays..) Total bill was $35.72 before tip and included two soft drinks. Adult beverages are available. Seating isextensive with two levels. Read more

Over priced for very little food. Paid $17 for these brisket enchiladas, and they are actually CHEESE enchiladas with brisket on... top. Well, you see by the picture how much brisket that was. About 1.5 forks full... The only reason I give it 2 stars isbecause the server was trying, but I asked him if they had any specials and he says everything is special - well, yeah, it'sspecial because it's a rip-off. They redid the menu and I am not impressed. It's a scheme to charge more for less traffic due toCorona. Drink was okay, had the F1 margaritas, was it worth the $16? No - Dos Salsas $14 will get you lit, that drink I couldslam those like kool-aid. Spend your money elsewhere, get the value for your hard-earned dollars. I won't be sending any moreof my dollars here. I appreciate the effort, management needs to rethink the menu. Nice decor, calm environment, not very busythough and I can only wonder why. Jardin Corona, Dos Salsas, or the food truck down the corner will get you equally tastingfood for the same money. If I wanted to pay for a "pretty" plate, I'd go to the Jeffrey's of Austin. Read more
