5 stars all across the board! Do not sleep on this place! Wonderful and such welcoming service on a cold and rainy day. Food... was phenomenal and very flavorful in that every ingredient didn't overpower one another and delivered a standout experience.Blackened catfish and rice? sold! Get the gumbo and add their house made hot sauce. you won't be disappointed! I look forwardto going back Read more

????????Vic & Al?s ???????? Vic & Al?s was insanely good!! Modern take on Cajun cuisine but strongly sticking to the... roots. The flavor on every dish was just ???????? The hostess recommended things on the menu and they were all10/10 Highlights: - chicken thigh poboy IMPECCABLE - catfish red beans & rice - pork chop & potatoes - red bean fritters Theonly thing that was good but nothing out of this world was the gumbo (shocking, I know!) I am so excited to go back and get ataste of this place again. Also did I mention that it?s VERY good priced ?? ?????????? Read more

Very nice and relax place. Like the decoration. Indoor or outdoor seats are available. Employees are very friendly. The food... has high quality ingredients. cons: a little pricey with small portion on the reusable paper plate at lunch time. If they canoffer free chips or roll, it will be better. Read more

The gumbo is too good for words, and the cocktails are unique and refreshing. The staff here are amazing humans. Very kind and... accommodating, and it creates a welcoming atmosphere. Really cute decor, love the wall of provisions and the crystalchandeliers. Read more

Customer service here is amazing. You order food and drinks at the counter, then take a seat and the food is brought out to you.... My favorite thing on the menu is the house salad actually, the jalapeno vinegarette has a kick to it. Try adding it to any ofthe po'boys for an acidic bite. I do have to say the sandwiches are pretty pricey compared to other Austin restaurants, and Iwouldn't call this place a traditional Cajun restaurant, but still enjoyed our meal. The bread pudding was a surprise though, Iwas expecting a soft, mushy texture but it's more like a sweet falafel. I wasn't mad about it, loved the crunchy exterior andpaired great with the jam sauce. Comfortable interior and delicious food. Lots of unique Cajun options and it?s awesome how you can get dishes with a choice of... salad, sandwich bread, or rice. They did an excellent job of knowledgeably helping me choose dairy free options for my lactoseintolerance. I think the only things they can?t make dairy free are: the blackened fish, because it?s cooked in a ton of butter, the po boy bread because it comes with butter, and the corn dog and one of the pies or something. The pig and rice was a solidoption. Tasted like pig and rice. The salad was above average for a salad - lots of tasty vinegar and the beans were a nicetouch. The gumbo was so flavorful and delicious, perhaps my favorite because I love flavorful dishes. Read more

Vic and Al?s took over the space formerly occupied by Unit D Pizzeria and they still use the oven shipped in from Italy! Vic and... Al?s has great flavors and I was impressed. The food was a little slow coming out but had some drinks during that time. We trieda whole bunch of plates with my favorite being the gumbo. There are so many more things I want to try!! Read more
