We typically love Z'Tejas but our recent experiences are this incarnation have not been great. We typically sit at the bar but... it seems to take longer than it should to get service. Not sure if they are having difficulty with having enough staff. We hadthe tuna and catfish apps. They were both incredibly salty but the ingredient quality was great. They don't have the breadth ofofferings I've seen at their other restaurants. This could be due to the current economy, however. Due to our fond memories ofthis local chain we will likely give them another chance. Hopefully the experience will be better. If so I'll update the review. Read more
We visited for Sunday brunch and quickly got seated inside. The patio was nice as well with plenty of open tables. Our server... was very attentive, the drinks were great and while the food was very good, my plate was on the cool side. I should have sent itback but didn't want my husband's food to get cold while he waited for mine to be remade/reheated. The flavors were great and Iwill return assuming this was a fluke. O Read more
Went here for brunch on a Sunday morning, the place was not crowded at all but the service was slow. The outdoor dining is a... great experience, with plenty of fans and misters to help keep you cool. The food was just ok and they served spicy bacon andpotatoes with the kids meal for some reason. First off....so excited they are back in the area. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The drinks were amazing. The... Old Fashioned was spot on. The Trio appetizers were better than expected. The typical guacamole, queso, and salsa sampler. Icouldn't figure out what I liked best since each of three were better than most restaurants. The guacamole serving could be ameal in itself and so fresh! Now the entrees... I would never order a meatloaf in a restaurant since it is something I can makeeasily at home. But surprise-surprise...I ordered it and it will now be a go to when returning. The bride order the CaribbeanChicken and it was off the charts delicious!!! Lastly, our service was superior.
