OMG - the broiled Grouper today was awesomely fresh, touched lightly by the heat, and complete perfection!
I bought some shrimp, the colossal crab claws and a garden salad. The seafood was amazing but the garden salad was bad, the... cucumbers slices, the red pepper and hard boiled egg were slimy. I will continue to buy my uncooked seafood here but notprepared food. I returned the salad and they tried to replace it with another bad salad so I just got my money back. Honestly, Iam disappointed by the salad but the uncooked seafood is fresh and of good quality. Read more
This place is amazing. The staff was super friendly and courteous. It was busy, but seemed orderly and under control. I had a 100.00 order to go tonight and the food was cold and the clam chowder tasted old. I called to make the owner aware that... the chowder was bad. I didn't want a refund because I paid in cash so I wanted the 8.95 to go the the staff in the tip jar. Hestarted yelling at this young lady that he was not giving me the refund, then he wanted to give me 6.95 back. I spoke to him andI told him he should not be so disrespectful to his staff and to his customers when I could hear him on the phone. His excusewas he was busy. I will not return. Read more

I think he thought he was being funny. When I asked for prices, he said nobody inAvalon cares about prices they're all rich.
