Went here the other night with my son because a friend recommended coming here. My server I believe her name was Sam. She was on... point with everything and was very informative on what my son and I should eat that night. I am happy with her suggestions ofthe mussels in red along with our entrees which was a fried scallops and shrimp platter my son with the whisky maple salmon.Everything was fabulous, all employees were helpful, I?ll be back. So we decided to try this place out and both were disappointed. We ordered two separate dishes one which was a pasta dish with... scallops and shrimp added which was just ok.. I ordered the fettuccine with crab meat and the noodles which were terrible andlooked either over or under cooked and the crab meat was sparse and looked to be just thrown in with the pasta which wasawful.. the waitress was attentive and removed my item from the bill as well. The best thing we ordered was the spicy crab soupwhich was very good. We also ordered mussels which were bland and lacked seasoning and flavor and the cocktail shrimp which wasoverpriced but that?s just inflation related and the new normal for now.. I ordered a very simple meal. The lobster grilled cheese, which was totally burned on one side, and not on the other tells me... that the cook was deceitful with the way the meal was packaged (Good side up). The person who made it obviously knew that theyhad burned it and served it anyway. They also gave us old bay fries with no old bay. When I called the young girl, at first,she tried to explain to me that bread gets toasted in a grilled cheese??The lack of apology was pretty weak and so was the offerto make another. The food is amazing! Lobsters are sweet and shrimps are fresh. Soooo good!
We had a lovely dinner at Oceanside Seafood in Avalon. Our waitress was fantastic and gave us great recommendations for dinner.... The Whiskey glazed salon was out of this world as was the Thai shrimp and the combo platter my husband had. The atmosphere wasquiet and relaxing. The restaurant was all around an amazing experience. We would totally come here again and recommend thisplace to anyone who wanted to dine at a great seafood restaurant. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Read more
Oceanside Seafood is perfect for good takeout seafood dinners. We had the Shrimp in a Basket and Shrimp Scampi. The shrimp in a... basket came with a baked potato and coleslaw. Very good. Shrimp were fried perfectly and not greasy at all. The shrimp scampiwas good, but it needed more sauce. The shrimp were fresh and cooked well. The service was quick and friendly. Can?t begin to say enough good things about Oceanside. Been coming 4 years in a row whenever I?m on vacation in Avalon and they... never disappoint. The waitstaff is always very friendly and attentive and the food?. The food is out of this world!!! Read more
