Amazing, amazing, amazing. Walked in on a Saturday night and they were able to get us a table. Met one of the two owners who was... so friendly and welcoming: also I also bought gorgeous jewelry show cased on the side. This restaurant is one in a million.Atmosphere, service, food- all a TEN. Nice atmosphere. Service was very good. I had the Gumbo and the jambalaya and while I lived in Lafayette and New Orleans for... quite a while and have been back at Least once every year since this gumbo and jambalaya was terrible and unlike anything I haveever had. However the local NJ people like it and the restaurant has been here 20 years so what do I know. My wife’s app wasnot very good but her main course ( eggplant scampi). was excellent. Read more
Clementine's Restaurant is amazing. I went there with a bunch of my cousins. We used the outdoor seating. There's a pandemic... after all. The menu has lots of great stuff. We ordered some fried oysters, Caesar salad,, and caprese salad with shrimp toshare. The portions were certainly big enough to share. And they were excellent. I selected the salmon on a bed of sautéedspinach with a side of mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Normally, I finish my meals,but this was so big a portion that I couldn't finish it. I did take a taste of my cousin's steak. It was much better than Iexpected. Our server was friendly, helpful a efficient. This restaurant is so good that you should eat here any time you findyourself within fifty miles of Clementine's Restaurant. You'll be glad you did. This review is based upon a dining experience that my sister and I had earlier this year (2022) , during the off season. We were... spending a few days down in Ocean Grove, NJ and we wanted to go to breakfast one morning. It was a weekday, earlier in the weekand most of the breakfast places were closed. We stumbled upon Clementine's Restaurant on Main Street in Avon and to be honest,in all the years I have been coming down to the beach, I don't remember seeing this place. As soon as we entered, we weregreeted so nicely by the staff who gave us a table right by the window. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was so cozy. Thereis a beautiful fireplace and the tables are nicely spaced out. Cute, homey touches adorn the restaurant, which makes the spaceinside warm and inviting. The restaurant was so bright and airy. We were there for breakfast and this place did not disappoint.The food was absolutely delicious and you can tell it was made with LOVE. We both had the Avocado Toast with a side of potatoeswhich was scrumptious. We had a hot beverage as well, which I think was a Hot Chocolate (sorry it's been a while), I remember itbeing very good. The waitress was attentive and kind, answering all of our questions about the menu. Our order was takenpromptly and we received our food in a very reasonable amount of time. The food was well priced. Our waitress was excellent-- friendly, helpful and fun. The food was simply to die for. So many delicious flavors and everything... cooked to perfection. I give this quaint and wonderfully decorated with unique finds restaurant 5???? due to the wonderful staff who aim to please. I... really felt close to some of the old places I have stayed at and eaten at going back to the 80's and beyond in that wonderfulcity called New Orleans. ps...the food is great too ! Best part...I received a lagniappe from the proprietor! A vintageChantecler brooch !! If you collect vintage jewelry...this is a hot spot ! They have cabinets full of pieces that are fabulous ! Outstanding service. Super friendly and focused on your experience there. The decor is just awesome. Super relaxing. ... Portions are huge…well worth the cost. And the food….everything we had was amazing. Blackened Tuna, Blackened Catfish,Eggplant and a Filet special. Desert was also very good…..try the Buttercake. You will be sad if you don’t. Read more
