At the last minute Googled best restaurant in Avon CT last night - looking for something different. Amici popped up. Made a... reservation online. Piece of cake! When we walked in - immediately impressed with the floral landscaping at the frontentrance. Ambiance and lighting inside makes you think of NYC! Restaurant is bigger than it looks on the outside. Greetedpromptly at the door. Hostess even knew my name. Great seating options. Very basic Italian menu with varied selections. Super service and friendly staff. Good wine and bar selections. We ordered the Bolognese and Chicken Milanese - they wereexcellent choices. Tasty and generous portions. Arrived piping hot at the table. Unfortunately no room for dessert ????. My parents absolutely love this place and keep coming back, however I've never been a huge fan of Italian food. Portion sizes... are big. The salad dressings are quite bland some how, my fathers chicken was chewy, and our waitress constantly forgot to grabmenus and such. I give it 4 stars instead of 3 because anyone who likes Italian food will probably enjoy the rather HUUUGEportion sizes of above average Italian food. Read more
