We had reservations for noon for 7 adults & 3 kids for Sunday Brunch for Fathers Day. We got there and they said there was no... Brunch! Our waitress said she’d worked Saturday and had no idea it wasn’t being served until she arrived for work Sunday. Great management! We had to order from the lunch/dinner menu. We watched a lot of other tables who were seated long after usget their meals first. When we did get it my wife’s was so overdone as to be inedible & mine mediocre at best! The waitstaffacted like they’d rather be anywhere else other than there. We drove for over an hour for one of the worst meals I’ve hadout! Never again! Read more
Stopped in after a long drive. First time sitting at the bar which was packed since it was happy hour. Wonderful experience from... the polite patrons who saw my partner was going to have to stand as there was only one seat available, and they all moved downthe row so he could sit down. Thank you. Our two martinis were exceptional. Love a bartender who knows how to make drinkscorrectly. Market Place Avon has a festive vibe with fine interior design as I've mentioned before. The food is always spoton. # A rare November day in the low sixties and sunny, driving around I told my partner we had to go eat somewhere outside toenjoy this moment. More easily said then done, as many restaurants are closed on Mondays! Ticking off one eatery after anotheron our quest, most had no outdoor seating or had closed for the season. Market Place Avon was both open and had place settingson their outdoor patio! Asking reception if we could sit outside, we were told they were closing this up but would ask theowner. He came back with a yes answer. We picked the table that would be getting the most sun before setting. A waitresshurriedly removed all other table settings. We ordered two cocktails at $15. each. For this price, please fill them up.Reordered the filet mignon toast appetizer, as noted in my prior review. Still good. Both our taco dishes were satisfying. Myahi tuna tacos with flour tortillas were what they should be, and my partner's fried fish tacos with corn tortillas hadplentiful fish but could have used an accompanying sauce. I'm not sure fries are the right side for tacos, but they wereokay. Service was fair at best. Our initial server seemed the most helpful. The second bussed food. The third couldn't evenmanage to bring us a simple candle, after seeing her inside through the glass doors with dozens on a tray dispensing them totables occupied or unoccupied. Very nice place,staff was quick bringing our drinks and keeping the water full The jack apple cocktail was fantastic. Food was... tasty! I got the filet mignon cheese steak sandwich Point Judith fried Calamari And my wife got the impossible Burger, she isvegan so finding places that have vegan options is difficult, She enjoyed it and said it was very good. My wife and I needed a new place for date night. And we found it. This location nailed it. Service was great! Food was very... good. We loved the atmosphere as well. We got the Thai salad, corn and clam chowder and the fried chix. Wow. We are veryimpressed and very happy with this location! We will be back and you should go! Read more
Me and my wife got there today for lunch. Place is great. Love rustic design inside and modern outside. Staff was friendly and... food was more then delicious. Portion was just perfect, steak and mashed potatoes were amazing. I liked local beer choice.Dessert was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. Read more
Middle of the road. Place isn't what it used to be. Service was slow on the most recent visit and didn't even come with a check... in to see how things were going once the food arrived (and the restaurant wasn't really all that busy). Nashville hot chickensandwich lacked any spice at all (pretty sure it hadn't even been added to the mix) and the Kobe burger could have been aregular burger anywhere else...nothing special. Chicken nachos were pretty good though. Atmosphere is bright and a littlerustic....it's comfortable. Loved this place when I first moved here and hope they get their footing back.
