Had a quick lunch here and the service and food were ????????. The lamb was tender and juicy...falling off the bone! The falafel... was crispy on the outside soft on the inside the way it should be. Would definitely stop in again!! Read more
We had the most amazing lunch at River’s Edge. The owners are lovely. They gave us details about the dishes which I... appreciated. The falafel is delicious but also comes with a side of Egyptian salsa that I’ve never had before. I’ve had myfair share of falafel but the added salsa was so unique. It was very additive to the dish. Definitely something I’ve never hadbefore! The chicken saffron soup was also amazing. Everyone loves it and now I know why! My husband enjoyed his huge streak andcheese sandwich. The portions were large! Also the desserts…. There is one with shaved phyllo dough and pistachios I highlyrecommend it. It’s very unique and a perfect amount of sweetness. River’s Edge is an excellent Mediterranean restaurant and was a real pleasant surprise for us. The appetizers were fantastic... we had the falafel, fried halloumi, and the spinach and feta fatayer!! I had the lamb gyro wrap and my wife had the moussakaboth were good. Gina our server was wonderful and she made a great recommendation for the pistachio baklava, which was servedwarm. Recommend. This is my second time eating here and it’s better everytime. The food is always amazing-the nachos are the best! This time we... had baklava cheesecake for dessert and it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted. The Moroccan tea is also one ofmy favorites. The owner is very friendly and I like that he takes the time to go up to the tables and ask how your liking yourfood. Great place! We will keep going back. Very good food, but even though there was gluten free designations on the menu, nothing was really available to me. I asked for... the Mediterranean nachos gluten free, which I had had before, and they were not even willing to see what they could do (swap outthe pita chips for tortilla chips, offer crackers, offer to have the toppings just on a plate instead of on any chip, there areplenty of options and I have ordered it before, here, with no problem). We also ordered the melted feta appetizer, which isamazing, and my husband had the pita on the side and I simply asked for a gluten-free chip or cracker and the answer was somehowsimply "no". I'm not really sure how you have a restaurant with some gluten-free things on the menu and you don't have somecrackers, chips or even a loaf of gluten-free bread in the freezer that you could toast up. It was very odd. All of that said,the food here is ridiculously good. It is meticulously prepared and outrageously delicious and filled with so many layers offlavors. Honestly we will be back because it's that good but I do wish they served alcohol so I can enjoy a glass of wine withmy dinner. I also wish I could have enjoyed my dinner with some very basic gluten-free options. Read more
