Would say they delivered 'North' of 5 stars (har har). But seriously, this antique style home fitted as a restaurant delivers... quaint feel with modern meals. Part museum, part flavor factory. Staff is incredibly nice and they have helpful emnue insights.Wing appetizers are crispy outside, juicy inside. Chicken and gnocchi entrees are filling and delicious. My daughter and soon-to-be husband chose The North House for their wedding. Ceremony was held outside and festivities followed... in the lovely space inside that was immediately adjoining. Tracy, the wedding coordinator, was fabulous and the entire eventwent down without a hitch. Organization, atmosphere, food quality, taste and speed of service, bartending, quality offacility.....I can't rave enough. Tracy, the wedding coordinator, was above and beyond....she was everywhere and worked sovery hard, including helping to serve dinner when staff called out! We had about 100 guests....at least a half dozen peopletold me this was the BEST wedding they had been to in a really long time. And it was! :-D Read more

I came here on a Friday night with my husband to enjoy a happy hour and then dinner. We got there around 5pm and were able to... get parking in the lot easily. We were able to get two seats at the bar, but man is it a popular place for happy hour! Thespecials on the menu are great, particularly the beverages. There were fun cocktails and then plenty of beers on top and somehouse wine. For dinner we were able to sit near a fireplace in a rustic room, very fun decor. Our waiter Matt was amazing and sofriendly, and followed up with us frequently. The food options were good, plenty to choose from and something for everyone. Igot the duck and my husband got the short ribs. All delicious. My only critique is that the entrees generally didn't have a lotof vegetables, mainly meat and a carb. This was our first time at North House. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Menu was limited, was expecting more beef and... fish options. What meals we did order were good and fair. The braised Short rib was exceptional and I highly recommended it. The scallop meal (5 total some small and big, strange) over barley and fennel didn’t impress at all. It was horrible. The Newstrip was done medium rare as requested, very good along with garlic mash. Server was attentive at first then she took too longin between courses. We had two appts, calamari totally over cooked. Whipped ricotta was very good. Desserts were vanilla icecream (one small scoop) plain no toppings@ $10!. Chocolate mousse was a pie not what we expected. This meal fell short on manylevels. Covid has short staffed restaurants that were amazing in the day now are struggling to to keep the quality and quantityof their meals. Read more

First time at this restaurant to celebrate my 67th birthday. First why ask what the occasion is if it is not going to be... acknowledged? Second the food was good Halibut and Beef short rib)but the service not good at all. We spend more time waitingfor the waiter from beginning to end and if we needed something I had to get up and search for him. Hey, at these prices Iexpected better service.
