I tried the flautas with chicken which I have made at home. I found that smothering them with queso only made them soggy. I... missed the crunchy bite of baking or skillet toasting. Pico de gallo would have been a nice side. One friend had the arroz conpollo which she enjoyed. The strawberry margarita was great - small bits of strawberry included. My friend had a peach flavoredone and was equally pleased. The restaurant was busy, the service was great, the waiter checked back with us several times. Therestaurant was clean. Our overall experience was very good. I recommend El Rodeo if you like Mexican food. Read more

We tried to order carry out for Taco Tuesday. We had a coupon but was told we couldn’t use it for carry out only dine in. No... where on coupon did it say that…too many other Mexican restaurants in Avon to put with this attitude. Read more
I'm in town visiting and specifically wanted barria tacos. Saw a review that they were good here and it's close so we went.... Though I've moved away, I'm from the area and have been to El Rodeo in Avon several times. The barria tacos were not good atall. The meat had clearly not been cooked in the soup as it was dry and didn't have much flavor. It was on plain tortillasrather than dipped on the sauce and not grilled at all. Everyone else liked their food and I'm sure I'll go there again somedaybut if you're going for barria tacos do NOT come here for them! Read more
The staff greets you as soon as you walk in; simultaneously, you're greeted with a warm cinnamon smell that makes you feel all... fuzzy inside and just as welcome. The restaurant itself has the feel of a very cozy place to enjoy food and conversation withothers or solo! Their service makes you want to tip generously given how friendly the waitstaff alway is. The food is simplyamazing, and the drinks from the bar do not disappoint!! I've been three times and have gotten something different each visit. I have yet to be disappointed, not that I want to be! El Rodeo is proper comfort food, come here to fill up your heart and your stomach :). The chicken and shrimp a la diabla is... just amazing and they make some really nice margaritas as well. The service is also very good and prompt. The servers arereally nice they also help you a lot if you can't decide what to eat so do ask for recommendations when you visit. The food was just okay. Decent. Nothing special. The salsa was extremely disappointing. My boyfriend and I got a combination... meal to share. Number 20, I believe. The beef burrito and a beef enchilada with beans and cheese. We also each ordered amarharita, which we didn't realize were 47oz until we got them! Needless to say, we were LIT after those! Lol I think themargaritas were definitely were the price (9.99 Special) for the amount of alcohol you get in them. Read more
