Awesome sushi there of all places plus live music to boot. Friendly staff and just a good dive bar chill and it's open later... than the rest of the bars in the area. Read more
Myself and a couple of friends stopped by on a Saturday night (7/20/22) as it was the only late night place on the island.... Played on a nice shuffleboard table (only reason this place gets two stars). The night went sideways. I ended up with a decentlylarge tab and asked for a printed itemized receipt to see what I got and what the cost breakdown was. Both bartenders began tosay it was "literally impossible," and I argued that was b.s. because any business should be able to provide an itemized receipt(its fraud if not). I even admitted I was pretty drunk and didn't want to keep arguing, just wanted some form of receipt. Themale bartender begrudgingly pulled over their iPad so I could take a picture of my tab (acting like this was the most difficultthing he's ever done in his life). Funny enough, their POS was Square, all they had to do was explain I would be emailed anitemized receipt (which would've worked totally fine for me). Even after this unnecessarily long argument I graciously tipped30%. Shortly after I was asked to leave by a bouncer, and quickly exited without argument. I come to find out my friend waspunched in the stomach by the bouncer for briefly chatting with the bouncer's girlfriend (not knowing this random woman and thebouncer were romantically involved). Awfully insecure or malicious bouncer to be either worried about his girlfriend getting hiton by a patron, or using her as bait to fight people. It is reasonable to expect the opposite genders to interact in a bar. Nottotally innocent here myself, I was very drunk, and arguing with bartenders is a surefire way to get kicked out, but definitelythe worst late night bar I think I've ever experienced. Whole staff could use an ego check and refresher on basic serviceindustry professionalism. Absolutely love this place! Not a lot to do in Avon in the evenings, so I'm glad we found this place. Bartenders are super... friendly, very chill vibe. It's that down home kinda place where you instantly feel like you've been going there for ages. 100%recommend it for anyone looking for a place to kick back, listen to music, maybe play a little shuffleboard, and have a fewdrinks. They've got a great selection to choose from, and if you're not sure what to order just ask. Read more
