The server was very nice but getting drinks out to us was very slow. She left a bottle of wine on the table unopened until my... glass was poured at the bar. Odd. The menu had quite a few mistakes. The description for the pear gorgonzola salad was switchedwith the salad above. Luckily I liked both so it wasn't terrible but a heads up may have been nice. The roasted vegetable entreesays it comes with a balsamic glaze, when it arrived she said, oh we don't have that. It's a mistake on the menu. It's paper, dosome proofreading and reprint it. It will cut down on disappointment. I enjoyed my salad and others at the table said theirdinners were good, with the exception of the roasted vegetables. Read more

Date night at @verandabistrobar in Westlake. Great service from our server Jackie who made several food recommendations. First... time visit. The patio is not to be missed. Shady and comfortable. We hit the happy hour food menu pretty hard. We got theherbed goat cheese, , pears organic honey on a toasted baguette. Subtle and good. The Kobe beef sliders were the right sizefor our appetite. The Hungarian peppers stuff with veal and pork with Asiago cheese and balsamic drizzle served with marinarahad the right bite and they were huge. @jillrn_17 got the fresh French onion soup which was a best bite. I got a salad Ididn’t have room for ( lunch tomorrow ) and Jill’s whimsical drink was a Banana’s Foster that had a banana liqueur, ryewhiskey , homemade banana syrup and almond bitters. Great taste but strong Read more

OK, 1 complaint that should be taken with a grain of salt (pun intended). In that I've been cutting down on salt, I felt the... filet and the sauce were a bit salty. That said, I would go back as they went out of their way to make for a good experience. My friend wanted sweet tea, which they don't have so they offered to add simple syrup. Little thing, but she offered, he didn'thave to ask. He had a pork chop special, which was excellent, and other than what I thought was a bit much salt on the filet itwas PERFECTLY cooked and was of excellent quality. Again, I'm sure if I asked for low salt, they would do it. The outside ofthe steak had that wonderful crust, and it was APSOLUTELY PERFECT medium. Pink through and through. Pink is good, bloody isbad, and they got it! Not the cheapest place to eat in NE Ohio, but certainly not the most expensive. I thought it was a goodvalue for the quality of what we were served, from the martini to the desert. We ate on the patio, and it was a bit loud butOMG it was a perfect outdoor setting. 1 more thing, they managed to misplace our reservation, but in that it was early we werestill seated right away. This is a hidden gem. It may not look like much from the street driving by but their food is just…wow. I highly recommend the... chef specials, you will not be disappointed! The spinach and and cheese ravioli with grilled chicken was probably one of thebest chef specials I’ve had since I found this location! If you’re in Cleveland this place is the place to go! Super chic restaurant. Good menu with a wide variety of food. Osso buco was fork tender, beautiful and delicious. Steaks were... cooked correct up to temp and delicious. They had a huge variety of bourbons to select from (Pappy Van Winkle?!) and bartenderswere helpful in giving you options of new different ones to try. Would highly recommend and we plan to return.
