I ordered the Crab Cakes dinner. Wow. Loads of crab meat and the perfect amount of filler and seasonings. The side of roasted... potatoes were unlike anything I've ever tasted; crispy on the outside (including the skin!) and hot in the middle. My wife hadthe pulled chicken risotto-loved it. My son had the Chicken and Waffles with real maple syrup-loved it! Read more

Wanted to try something different for brunch and landed here. Perhaps one of the best omelettes I?ve ever had (mushroom) so... flavorful. The potatoes were very unique and super tasty as was the toast (tasted homemade). The plate presentation waswonderful as was our server, Faith. Would definitely recommend! Read more

If you are doing some shopping at Crocker park or in Avon start off at Cafe Melissa. Breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong. I... had the Carolina this morning with bacon . The cheese grits took me back to being a youngster in the south eating at mygrandmother's. The service was great and the food very filling. The potatoes were delicious all I could say was Wow. So pleasepop over to Walker rd. And 83 and stop in at cafe Melissa's you will go back! 13 Bucks with a good cup of coffee, what a deal! Read more

Café Melissa is a nice and slightly upscale place to grab some tasty breakfast. We had the South of the Border Omelette and... the Morgan's Wrap. Both were delicious and spiced up a little bit beyond the basics, adding an interesting twist of flavor tothe usual breakfast items. They also offer adult breakfast beverages, and their coffee is notably good. Read more

My mother and I were looking for a place to have lunch and decided to drive around to see if anything sparked our interests.... Tired of the same old menu we set out on a journey to find a tasty bite. Passing by Cafe' Melissa I told my mom that I hadalways wanted to go there...and decided to pull in. We walked in to the quaint little place. A charming waitress greeted us andsat us immediately. We were served water with lots of ice cubes and a straw. I noticed they served the gamut. Whatever you want,they have it, but it's prepared in a fresh, colorful way. We asked our waitress her opinion on a couple of items. Shrimp ThaiFry jumped out at us and we each ordered the dish. It was stunning! Fresh herbs, cabbage and carrots gave the dish a freshnessnot typically found around here. In addition, there were copious amount of rice noodles, peanuts and eggs, with an abundantamount of big, juicy shrimp. Mom got the Oreo cake and coffee. After the initial bite she said she was in complete bliss! Itwas a home run! We will be back. Had our family breakfast this past Sunday at Cafe Melissa. Chicken & Waffles were fantastic. Waffles had the perfect sweetness... to them before adding syrup. Served with potatoes that were drizzled with what tasted like a ranch dressing maybe. All and all,fantastic breakfast, glad I went with this dish. Read more
