A remarkably beautiful day only enhanced by combining a visit to "Va La Vineyards!" Tucked away in Avondale, Pa, this lovely... vineyard offers wines uniquely grown on location. Specific blends of grapes and soil use for planting delineate each style ofwine offered. I was hosted by "Jane," our server, and loved hearing about the vineyard and about some of the principles used bythe proprietor to create their wines. I started with the tasting flight along with a really nice selection of local charcuteriechoices to help walk along the wine samples. ???? While all of the wines were flavorful and robust, I chose one fave and ofcourse followed that by the glass to finish and take in the experience. As fall fast approaches, the outdoor experience that Ireally enjoyed will slowly disappear. If you have the time, enjoy a quiet and serene view, enjoy the experience of winetasting, go and give Va La a try! Recommendation another winemaker in the Brandywine Region... Va La Vineyards ... known for big bold Italian blends. Got to meet... winemaker Anthony Vietri and learn a little more about his more than two dozen French and Italian varietals and their clones inhis "little vineyard". Celebrated my birthday at this winery and I?m glad I did. The location is in a quaint and peaceful area, and has a great... atmosphere. We brought our own charcuterie board, but I wish we had a chance to enjoy their selections for the pairings. Weended up only drinking the flights as none of the wines really stood out to us as ones we wanted to enjoy 1 full glass of wine.They were all dry which was fantastic, just not the depth of flavor and body I was expecting (especially with the reds).
