Awesome local place to stop in. Even during the week this place is packed in the evenings because it's real authentic food. Was... seated within 10 minutes and our food came quick. Our waiter was so much fun, Oscar had us laughing the whole time. Read more

Enjoyed a large bowl of the chicken tortilla soup. Perfect amount, tasted great, and plenty of chicken & vegetables. The... service was great & prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was typical of a Mexican food restaurant. The ramp into the restaurantwas a bit steep for those needing a ramp, but was glad there was one. Chips & salsa was good too. Other plates at our tablelooked delicious & left me with the desire to come back to try one of them. Sorry I didn?t get picks of the food, was hungryand dug right in. Read more

Stopped in based on a recommendation of our Camp host. Did not disappoint! The chips and salsa were addicting and always... offering to refill if we needed it. I got the pollo La Mexicana (under Specialties) and it was fantastic. It indicated it wasspicy on the menu. It had good flavor but wasn?t what I would call spicy. Sorry I took the picture well after I had dug in. Myhusband got the chicken enchiladas and it was good, could have had a little more flavor/seasoning in the filling. The rice andbeans were excellent! This place is a diamond in the rough. I decided to dine in for the first time and the atmosphere was fantastic. The employees... were nice and the food was even better. El Paseo is definitely worth the trip if you're passing through. Read more

My good friend who grew up in this town always bragged how great this place has been for years. Yesterday we came for lunch... (which was my first time) and he is so right! The chips and salsa are phenomenal! The chips themselves are served warm and hasthe perfect crunch, while the salsa is very good and freshly made, but could use just a little more spice. For lunch, I had thechicken enchilada plate and it was excellent! The chicken was cooked just right, the sour cream sauce on top was amazing, andthe corn tortillas housing the ingredients has that excellent pure corn taste! The accompanying rice and beans were great too! While the beans weren't refried (like bean dip) they were still whole and fresh tasting, even great eating them with theiramazing chips! I also adore the atmosphere and decor, just the perfect environment to enjoy Mexican food! Above all, it was theperfect lunch and an excellent first time experience! I hope to come back soon and try something different, as this was probablyway better than anything I've had in Mesquite & Dallas! Read more

Very good Tex-Mex food. The extremely large house margaritas were good but there wasn't much alcohol in them. My group had a... variety of enchiladas for lunch. We all agreed it was good food. I wouldn't drive from Mansfield for it (close to an hour), butif I lived in the area, I'd be here regularly. Read more

All the touch points in this place get five stars. From the front end hosts to the clean bathroom in the back, everything was... better than I expected. The waiter was welcoming and friendly. He allowed me to custom order a chile relleno plate with fajitaon top. When my beer came, the glass and the beer were cold. The chips at so many Mexican places disappoint me...not here! Theyare thick and crispy just like I like them. If I were to complain, I would say the chile relleno could have been a littlespicier but I'm not complaining because my waiter saw it and brought me extra chile on the side that made it perfect. Doyourself a favor and stop by this place, you won't regret it. Read more
