Loved the trip to Captree Park itself! Tiki Joe's on the other hand was really disappointing, unfortunately. The fish tacos were... ordered since they were advertised as having Mahi Mahi but guess what, it was actually shredded cold tuna lol. 3 cold cannedtuna tacos for about $25? Nah. Our party could barely finish it (we didn't). The artichoke dip was microwaved, seeing as how ithad a film on top and the bowl was really hot. It was also watery. The soda is about 60% ice and 40% watered down fountain soda.Overall the food is overpriced and very mediocre. For the $120 bill, next time I'll go on a fishing trip instead or just eatsomewhere else. Service was great so I've added an extra star to make it 2/5. Read more
Was looking forward to a nice dinner. Not expecting great since it?s beach/fishing place but at least decent. It was terrible. ... Had an appetizer.dip with chips. The chips weren?t even whole chips. They were a bunch of broken pieces. That?s pretty bad. Had fish tacos. The shells came out of a bag, not warmed or toasted in any way. The fish had absolutely no flavor. Noseasoning. It was awful. Mango salsa came out of a jar but not a good jar of salsa. So for 2 of us. It was $80. With twobeers. With tip just about $100. Not , not worth it. The setting is really nice and our waitress, Kaia was good. The food was just okay. It?s honestly a bit pricey for what it is.... The cups for the mixed drinks were really small and cost 14$. The fries and iced tea were good and I liked the toppings on thefish tacos. But whatever was used for the fish tasted like a bland tuna and not Mahi Mahi. It was little shreds of fish insteadof a filet. I think it would be a lot better in one piece and a better quality of fish was used. Read more
Where to begin... Okay I'll keep it simple, it's frozen food dropped into a microwave, nuked and served at a high cost. Drinks... were replenished at no cost because our meals took so long to be served which is strange since you can tell the food is allprepackaged and reheated, maybe they only have a few microwaves on the premises ????. It's typically what you expect from fastpaced beach locations and yet here I am eating at yet another location knowing exactly what I expected, shame on me but nothingelse was available here at Captree. Just returned home from this place and felt compelled to write a public review. The place is awful. It's Monday - Labor Day,... people are out and the weather is beautiful. Went with a group of 5 (4 adults, 1 child). There's one hostess working the entirerestaurant on a holiday weekend, seating people, taking orders and serving food. So you're left waiting and waiting. The foodis terrible and not even cooked properly/safely! We ordered fried calamari for the table to share, a kids chicken finger meal, 2burgers and a salad with grilled chicken to share. - The kids chicken fingers were still COMPLETELY RAW inside...if I hadn'tcut them up, my child would have just eaten them and then found out. - Fried calamari was cooked to a point where they wereinedible, just an over-fried mess -- the jarred marinara sauce on the side was cold. - The two burger were hockey pucks. - Thechicken in the salad was chewy and they forgot the salad dressing. - We had to ask 3x for waters and the beers were served intiny cups. All in all, we spent over $100 for bad service (I don't blame the one person working all the tables) and for reallyreally bad food. I wouldn't come back to this place if you paid me. ^ Message to the owners -- have some respect for yourbusiness and its patrons. You have no business charging the money you do for the small drinks, lack of service and miserablefood. If you're charging that amount of money to stare at fishing boats, there are plenty of other places on the Island to goto. Read more
Giving a 2nd star simply because the atmosphere is nice when there?s live music playing. But that?s about it. My family and I... have been coming here for more than 7 years; we came back today for the first time after Covid, and wow? I have to say: Ireally, really miss when the indoor section of the restaurant was open longer and you weren?t forced to buy food from thebar/restaurant. It is EXTREMELY overpriced. We asked for 4 cheeseburgers to go and the total was almost $77? Imean?what??????!!!! $17.50 for a burger is INSANE. We left immediately upon hearing that price, as you can imagine. At theindoor section of the place, you pay $9.75 for a cheeseburger, which is far more reasonable. Clearly, the new management islooking to make a quick buck during the summer months. Please do not stay here to eat if you want to pay a normal amount ofmoney for food. Read more
Wow. Shane on them. Nearly $50 for a lobster roll with barely any lobster meat. Tasteless cole slaw and a $12 glass of wine. I... was just in Rome and a full glass of wine was $6! The view and the poor waitress who really hustled we?re the only good things. Read more
