Arrived at 7pm, restaurant was scheduled to close at 8 and I was told I couldn?t get take out, nor could I sit as they were full... and no longer taking reservations for the night. Room is a glorified motel suite with a barely working AC. The next morningbreakfast was 20 dollars per plate for a terribly cooked and stale continental buffet, my girlfriend and I had to share 1 cup ofcoffee as they left us to sit in the corner unattended . Enjoyed our three night stay at SDL in a one bed suite a MacNeil house. I was a little worried that many reviews were people... passing through and we might be odd staying longer, but it was great. My six year old didn?t want to leave. Suite was lovelywith a decent kitchen and kids loved the pool. Only a couple of small things stop it being 5star-deck was a little worn and inneed of a paint and AC was so loud we had to turn it off. Evening buffet our server never offered us drinks (which was a bitodd!) but breakfast was fab and views ???????? Would stay again. Read more
Stayed for one night with my Dad the room was great. Slept well, the cleaning staff was super friendly, and the restaurant... buffet was good. However the waitresses didn't even acknowledge us until our breakfast was finished. We didn't even have so muchas a glass of water with breakfast and there were only five tables with patrons at the time, including us. Aside from that, thishas been a good place to stay. We will just be getting breakfast in town next time. Read more
Very clean, amendmenties are plenty, pool, play park all assessable and clean. When I first got here staff were not as friendly,... however on my return I met Carrie at the front desk, and she was amazing and turned that experience back so it was great aswell, she was very informative with what the the facility had to offer and canoeing info and tourist attractions and so on!Great Job Carrie thank you for your kindness! Pros: room is a good size, great views, wifi was quite better than expected and the place was easy to find Cons: carpet needs a... good cleaning - Stains everywhere (grossed out!). Restaurant isn?t staffed to accommodate less than 50% capacity Wouldn?t stayagain. Read more
Stayed at the top floor of Historic McNeil House. Great location with a beautiful view of the lake and close to the Cabot Trail... and the suite had lots of room. Friendly staff! Very welcoming and helpful. Read more
Great base for our 3-night stay for our Cabot Trail holiday. Good laundry facilities. Heated pool. Friendly staff. Average food... at McCurdy's on-site restaurant but good views over the water. Read more
Decided to drive the Cabot Trail and this was a good stopping point. Rooms were very clean but showing their age a bit, nothing... major. The beds were super comfortable and the grounds are very well kept with a lovely view of the lake. Nice outdoor pool andplay area for kids. Will definitely stop here again. Read more
