Went here for lunch as I was in the area and liked the menu. Staff is very friendly! I got the fried tacos and calamari and it... was so good! I also got three desserts for me and my family. The tres leche is amazing. Not too sweet and big portion! I?lldefinitely be back to try more and support this restaurant. Read more
GREAT food, and really nice staff. I was a little sticker shocked when I came to pick up my take out and he said my total came... to $45 for a chicken souvlaki and a gyro dinner (2 meals), not including a tip. Obviously restaurants have had to raise theirprices over the last year, but I was still a bit shocked. I let them know their menu and pricing is not up to date on their FBpage (my meal would be $30 according to that). Again, AMAZING food so if you're willing to pay the price, by all means give thema try :) Read more

I struck up a conversation with Liliana, Nathalia?s daughter, whom owns this wonderful establishment (with her partner, Mel),... inadvertently at Fairview mall: I was so taken by mother Liliana, because of her down to earth, gracious charm, that when herdaughter, Nathalia , informed me that she operated a beautiful restaurant in the town of Baden, I just had to give it a go.Well, Nathalia?s and Mel?s establishment was a pleasant surprise . I found the food to be so fresh and flavourful, and theservice, so personable and friendly , I had to go out of my way and come back two nights in a row? Oh, by the way I live inGuelph and the drive was well worth it. It?s wonderful that you can still find places that are run by families who can put inthat love and care in every dish, they serve . And I will put this on my list of go to places whenever I feel I wish to strikeup a conversation with a total stranger & find myself discovering kind people creating authentic home dishes. Thank you. OMG! If you live in the area or are just passing through and need something to eat stop in and try. It is a relatively small... eat in area we have only ordered take out but anyways it's the food that matters and Melina's doesn't disappoint. Every thing wehave had has be delicious but if I had to pick a few that stood out it would be the chicken souvlaki dinner. The chickensouvlaki is rhe best I have had anywhere and then the rice potatoes and pita chips are also tasty. My wife also says the fishand chips are great. Oh and give the Melinas fries a try as well. The best thing of all is you are supporting a small localbusiness. Read more

I?ve heard great things about this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the birria tacos and gyros wrap. When I got my... order, it didn?t look like birria tacos but I didn?t question it as I was my first time there plus my first time having birriatacos. I took a bite of what I received and it was good but I really wanted to try the birria tacos. I went in and asked for thesauce that comes with the tacos as I received sour cream instead and it turns out the person who wrote down my ordermisunderstood me and wrote something else down. In the end, they made it up to me and I did receive my birria tacos. Let?s justsay, they were phenomenal! I will definitely be back! Such great service and friendly staff! Read more

Last year when we moved to the area I wanted to check out the local places and stopped by Melinda's Grill. I definitely did the... right thing. The most important part for. Me the great service and treatment by the owner and the staff. Then of course thefood. They have an interesting wide variety menu and I did not have a chance to try many different things yet. But the shawarmawas great. Big portion sizes, yummy taste and very good price. What else can I ask for? Wonderful example of non-franchise,local restaurant.
