We go here almost every Saturday for their lunch time happy hour with 1/2 price rolls and deep discounts on their menu. ... Additionally, this is a locally owned family run place where you are well cared for and the food is top notch! Helen and herhusband hire local kids and help out the community in myriad of ways. Locals and tourists should make this a regular place tovisit. The restaurant in located just a short walk from downtown Winslow so if you take the ferry (btw LEAVE YOUR CAR INSEATTLE) walk on up the hill and enjoy a great meal. They also have a regular menu which includes everything you could want ata Japanese restaurant Read more

My self and my three friends ate here last night for dinner. We got all manner of sushi rolls and sashimi, miso soup, and... edamame. It was a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. I had the Medusa Roll and it was extremely tasty. I also had some ofthe miso soup and edamame, both of which were very good. Read more

Oh no Subi, y’all did me dirty tonight. Slipped me some gratis shrooms in my garden roll. Bummer I don’t like mushrooms.... Noting to request no mushrooms on future orders (even though they aren’t listed in the roll). Pros: Avocado roll wassolid. Order was ready 15 minutes early. We have a sushi restaurant on the island! A lot of 4-5 star ratings but really curious as to why. This place isn’t truly a “Japanese” restaurant with many Korean... items on the menu. That’s usually an immediate indicator it’s not “Japanese!” Also, the head sushi chef wasn’t trainedIAW traditional Japanese acceptable sushi standards, not to mention a few “amateurs” behind making nigiri and makis. Thesushi was definitely not fresh and all the raw fish was room temperature - a bit concerning. They do have a few more variety ofsushi so that’s a plus but the medium and full fatty toro was way below standards and hard to eat. For the two of us, it cost190$ - not the most expensive but more then we would usually pay for subpar sushi. The customer service was FANTASTIC anddefinitely was the best part. We tried it because of the 4+ rating …. I have to honestly say, they get this rating as mostAmericans have little clue what “good and great sushi” is! Worst part, the quality of rice was of low grade. 3 stars andlikely will never return! Read more

Food was delicious and portions generous, fish was super fresh and the Gochujang had a nice kick to it.

A good size Japanese restaurant with plenty of seatings inside. Due to COVID restriction, it's take out only at the moment. ... The restaurant does not have outdoor seating as it's in the strip mall building complex but the complex itself has outdoorgarden where you could eat your sushi if you don't want to eat it inside your car. Plenty of choices in the menu, my avocadoand eel roll was good size and yummy. Plenty of parking available and it's a few blocks from most of the shops and a couple ofmiles from the ferry dock. One of my favorite lunch and happy hour spots. Spicy poke is great. Love the Miso soup, and the very good octopus salad.

The fish dishes appear to be pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend the ramen. It was all a lot more "done" than I would have... preferred. The egg was hard boiled, and the pork extremely tough. The server indicated that this is normal because of the waythe meat is cooked, but it seems a waste of pork belly to cook it to dryness. I didn't enjoy it at all. Read more
