I have been a customer I know for over 25 years. Always great food and great service. Always. Until August 27th. I was going... through the drive thru as always. A sign said drive thru cash only. I had no cash. . I then parked and went in with myservice dog to get my food to go. Even though I have a small service dog I never like to put people out by bringing inrestaurants. This time I had to. I was met by that they wouldn’t take my order by a rude employee. I explained all of theabove. Still refused my order. I asked for a manager and never in my life have I been treated so rudely. I then explained toher all of the above. She hatefully took my order but was so rude. I was very embarrassed because they were busy and everyonewas watching. Just because my disability is not obvious such as if I was blind or in a wheelchair and my dog is smalldoesn’t mean I’m not disabled. They need to educate their employees. I did call their customer service to complain and 5days later no return call. In all my years only my 2nd time to bring the dog into a restaurant . The other time was a verynice sit down restaurant in Bakersfield and I called ahead to tell them the situation and they were very welcoming to myself andmy dog. Not to mention that the cost of their family meal at El Pollo had gone up more than 5 dollars and was afraid to eat thefood that the rude manager might have done something to it because honestly she was that bad. Came through the drive through about 9pm and must have got a bunch of throw away food. So that what I did aswell. Hard churros,... nasty old lettuce for Loco salad, double chicken bowl was cold and tacos al carbon tortillas were stale. My husband just ordered chicken and Mc and cheese, salad, burrito. After the lady got his card, my husband ask about the salsa... and salad dressing. She said everything in the bag. When he came home, THERE was Nothing at all,, and we're all sitting in thetable ready to eat! How can they not pay attention,,,just terrible customer service ???? Read more
Great chicken, they just need to learn how to count. Last 2 times there I ordered 16 piece. Both times got a 15 piece. That's 1... way to make money. They owe me a leg and a thigh. UPDATE, I responded to their reply, nothing came of it. They were just blowingsmoke. That says more about their customer service than the order being short. I'm going with Popeyes from now on. I ordered a bean rice and cheese burrito add in queso blanco. I was charged a dollar extra for a case of Blanco and my burrito... has none I ate halfway down waiting for the sauce and it was the driest burrito ever and the smallest burrito I've ever seencome out of El Pollo loco. Read more
This is one of the few places to get healthy food fast for a reasonable price. I do wish they had some spicier sauces. Pretty... tame hot sauce, not loco. The new wings and tapatillo fries are very good, lots of flavor. The double chicken tostada is myfavorite. A little tip for eating it (see pic) flip it upside down. Pleasantly surprised. 1st time here and wasn't sure what to expect. Got the 2-piece meal and at first thought it was on the... skimping side. But got some cups of made fresh daily salsa, diced onions and avocado salsa from a side bar next to the fountaindrink station. It had it stuff like peppers but got what I wanted. The warm tortillas came in a bag which I liked. My fiance gotthe same thing and also never been here. Overall I really liked the food and enjoyed sitting down in the dining area.
