Blown away!!! I didn’t expect much. I wanted a lite dinner. I was impressed by the gyzo and edamame. I had the vegetable... gyzo. There were only two people when I arrived on this solo adventure. I was greeted by the chef and the hostess/waitress. Upon... seating and giving the menu a quick glance I went with the classic Hon Ramen and raspberry tea. Drink came 1st. The environmentwas peaceful, nice temperature, I can even overlook the tiny cardboard under some of the table legs. My waitress didn't say hername, but that's okay. My ramen was yummy. The broth was so rich and creamy, not salty at all. The amount of people increased astime went on. The waitress was on her own, but she was doing an awesome job. Overall it was nice visit. I would highly recommend this place for a comfort takeout or delivery meal; it’s so tasty. We got spicy garlic miso ramen, hon... ramen, shrimp tempura, chashu buns, and tiramisu. I got the chashu buns and had to convince my boyfriend to try one. Once hetasted it, he was hooked. Hahaha I only caught a picture of the last bites. These are delicious bao buns that I have rarely comeacross in Bakersfield. The shrimp tempura is so tasty. The two ramens kind of seem like the same ingredients with differentbroth, but both are very filling and delicious. The pork beef is so tender and delicious, it melts in your mouth. Food is good but the service is terrible. I tried calling ahead for my order but they refuse to allow you even when it is busy.... When I arrived I was not greeted and had to seat myself at the bar. Nobody came to take my order so I had to call the phone. Itold them I was placing my order for dine in, but once my food was ready they had it to go. I am a frequent customer but am verydisappointed with the decline in service. The owner very rudely gave me my food and was not very welcoming. I tried to call backonce I left to let him know about my bad experience. They refused to speak with me and told me to call another time. Food wasnot good this time, the noodles are old and stale.
