Absolutely one of the most authentic Indian restaurants we have eaten at! Not many serve masala dosa it was refreshing to see it... on the menu. It was absolutely divine (see picture for size )We have now been twice and haven't been disappointed yet. Theservice was great. Friendly knowledgeable staff were able to assist with food allergies. Can't wait to explore the menu furtherand wish we would have discovered Viceroy sooner! Highly recommend anyone to stop in if you're in the neighborhood! Read more

Earlier the food quality was so good but since last two times I tried there food taste gross chicken was old extra oily naan... uncooked fried rice nasty chicken Manchurian I don?t know no words I think they changed their cook you guys need to hire someonewho knows cooking I?m so mad I wasted my money I always love viceroy but not anymore ???????? It was ok not fine dining at all it?s a good attempt at it but lacking. Service was slow they only have two girls running the... show. The iced tea was not fresh brew they use the syrup cheap stuff. It would be good as a buffet style but not fine finding asthey claim. Read more

For first time eating Indian food it wasn't what we expected in a good way .would recommend mild on spices in case you're not... used to spicy food. Dishes were very delicious something different and the value of each order more than fair considering howfancy the place is inside and out. They are very family friendly and willing to accommodate to our needs. Customer service wasamazing with them constantly checking up on us if we needed anything every 10/15 mins and making sure we were satisfied with ourfood. Read more

Probably the worst place to have your food except you have so much of free time. It took 20 minutes to get a mango Lassi, 30... minutes to get Dahi k Kabab, and 1 hour 20 minutes to get the main course. So basically I wasted 1 hour 45 minutes to have lunchwhen restaurant was almost empty. Food review: Lassi was not at all good. Dahi k Kanab was not that great. Main course did notworth the money. A detour stop in Bakersfield late afternoon for Indian food travelling from vegas to bay area. Pleasantly surprised by the... decor. Great ambience. Courteous staff. Owner Tejinder Singh made recommendations and claimed the Viceroy for was the onlyIndian fine dining in Bakersfield. Ordered plenty vegetarian and meat dishes. Amritsari fish, Tandoori Chicken, Rogan Josh,Butter chicker, aaloo gobi, daal makhni, matar paneer .. tandoori roti and laccha parantha.. topped with Taj mahal beer andmasala chai. Gajar halwa to go..Quite a treat.. spices were mild though flavorful. Potato in aalo gobhi undercooked. Too muchhaldi (turmeric) leaves fingers yellow for a full day even after washing hands thoroughly. Recommended and enocurage visitingother fine dining to inspire and improve. Read more
