We love this restaurant for it's excellent food, service and laid-back appalachian atmosphere. We always love the filet cooked... medium (tender and cooked too perfection) with soup (potato) & house salad with ranch. Basket of rolls served when you first sitdown. I had the High Country Medallions (steak with cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms in a wine sauce topped with 4 sautéedshrimps) which was very tasty. Broccoli with cheese as a side was yummy. No alcohol served here. Ended our meal with theirspecial pumpkin bread pudding with icecream & whipped topping, delicious. Read more

If you are looking for good ribs, this is the place! Falling off the bone tender. Your choice of rub or barbecue sauces.... Complement them with a salad that is crispy and fresh. Add a baked potato or French fries. You won?t have room for dessert. Weeach ordered a full rack (only a few dollars more) and took home enough for two more meals each. I?m sure they have other goodthings on the menu, but I haven?t been able to get past the ribs! Be sure to come early because they do sell out sometimes. Theparking lot is usually full, but don?t let that deter you. The have a large dining room and can handle a large crowd. They alsodo a huge takeout business, so some of the cars are there for takeout. If you don?t want to eat in, call in your order and enjoyit at home. You won?t be disappointed. P.S. So good. Loved the bread, house salad and bacon wrapped shrimp and ribeye which was cooked perfectly med rare. Loaded baked... potato A+. Apple dumplings great ending. Wonderful service. Read more
The only reason this is a 4 star review as opposed to 5 is they are packed all the time, which is no fault of theirs, if... anything it's a compliment. Getting seated took a long time, but once I was seated the service was very fast and very good! Igot the fish and shrimp with fries and a salad, everything was great! The staff handled the crowd very well and veryprofessionally, even when the crowd wasn't so pleasant to them. Read more

This restaurant was a home run. We were out of town visiting the mountains and they were trying to find a good place to eat.... Started looking online came across this on Google maps it had a good ratings and they were 100% backed up when we went. Ourwaitress was the best waitress I've ever had, hands down. Every single item we ordered was amazing and the price was spot on forwhat I order and I felt. Well 100% go back if we visit this spot again in the mountains. Read more
