We had the most delicious lunch here today! We had the Bakersville BLT with a huge helping of potato salad on the side and a cup... of tomato soup! They have gluten free bread which is a major plus for me! And it?s GOOD! They also have gluten free pastries!The staff is super friendly and professional which is a hard thing to find in our area! OK... this restaurant just opened, so my review is of my one time visit, so far. I usually adjust over time, the more often I... go. Onto the review... First off, Bakersville, NC needed a "Cafe" style eatery. This one more than fills that need. On my firstvisit (second day they were open), I experienced extremely friendly staff and very little wait time. I did catch them 20min toclosing, however. They stated wait times have ranged from 10 to 15 minutes average for now. I didn't have a problem with mywait time towards closing time. I ordered a club and the price was $9 (with a side -- I chose potato salad). Now, $9 for a clubmight seem a little much for this area, but it's actually on par with the mid-range restaurants of this and surrounding areas(Little Switzerland Cafe, Appalachian Java, etc). When I got the sandwich (to-go, by the way), it came in an eco-enviro-friendlycardboard to-go container (that means a lot to me -- get rid of Styrofoam containers). When I opened the container, I discoveredwhy the price was actually a good deal. This was a giant sandwich! I chose wheat bread and had it toasted. It came with ham andturkey and LOTS of bacon. The only complaint I have is that I need to ask that it be cut into quarters instead of half, like itcame. I could barely hold it to eat it. It was absolutely delicious. I would say in my top 3 clubs of all time (might be number1). The potato salad was very flavorful with a creamy base. The only complaint I have about it is that it needed to be a littlemore chilled for my liking. I love COLD potato salad. All in all, it was an excellent meal. I had to force myself to finish itdue to it's size (Please don't change that, SRC). When you go here (not IF, but WHEN), make sure you are hungry. They will fillyou up!!!
