We loved this place for years. The food is great. But I'm very disappointed to see so many recent fake/paid 5-star reviews on... Google for their restaurant, and simultaneously the same number of fake/paid 1-star reviews for the newly opened competingIndian restaurant down the street. Not sure what's going on, but Saffron won't see our business again until this petty BSstops. Read more

Authentic Indian cuisine? You can visit Saffron. They have a great selection of Indian food! You will find the same ones as you... would find in India. I like their varieties of biriany, South Indian delicacy and carefully flavored tea! Try it out Read more

Skip. Chicken biryani is just chunks of plain rice with a light dusting of flavor. Garbage. Not worth $20.

I'll admit the food tasted good but I found a hair in my takeout meal(It wasn't my coarse hair texture at all so I know it... wasn't mine) and when I called in regards to a FULL refund they offered to remake the food instead but I never want to eatsomewhere again that I've found hair in the food they served me which I told them so then he offered me a refund for just thedish I found the food in but I didn't eat any of it once I found the hair.... so I demanded a full refund which he still didn'tend up giving me. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place due to sanitary reasons and how they handled it.. especially sincewe're in a pandemic. I'm extremely disgusted and disappointed with how this was handled. I'll be contacting my bank today. Read more

Saffron is definitely an unexpected gem right on Butler Ave in downtown Ambler. I'm glad that we decided to go in person instead... of ordering delivery. We ate right on the street and their presentation was fantastic. We started with two veggie samosas thatwere really good (so good, in fact, that I forgot to take Yelp pictures of them). I got the Boti Kabob Masala and added veggies. My girlfriend got Chicken Tikka Masala and a Mango Lassi. We split Aloo Naan and got basmati and raita to share with our maindishes. For ~$80 this was more than enough food. My favorite part of the meal was that the dishes were served family style intheir own bowls and you could mix your dish however you wanted. Everything seemed very fresh and was delicious. PRO TIP:Sometimes "medium spicy" can be too spicy at an Indian place but the waiter here offered "in between mild and medium spicy"which was just perfect. Definitely try this place. It's different than the American/Italian places nearby. Read more

Bright and sunny yellow greets you in this restaurant..so the place it self is kinda different but don't let that deter you from... eating there . I first thought it was going to be like a fast food joint that was just Indian style. It has that vibe. You sitdown and got great service... Nice easy menu to navigate and of course lunch specials. I ordered a lunch special of lamb tikkamasala. It came with salad with indian style dressing. Which I will admit first time ever having that dressing it was full offlavor. The lamb was plentiful and tender. I had garlic naan and rice as well. Also a side of chickpea curry. Everything was onpoint and just ???? Read more
