Came for some ice cream and Elote en Vaso and the ice cream was over priced and they were served with forks and not spoons. ... They said they didn't have spoons. Unpleasant experience due to horrible customer service. Lady at the cashier on night 09/04/22 was giving me something I didn?t... order, so my fiancé politely tells her that isn?t what I ordered, she gives us attitude for no reason and says she ?already putthe scoop? and that I never said that. Like what? It was even on the receipt and still said I was ?wrong?. She could?ve justapologized and gave me what I DID SAY I ordered instead of making it a big deal. Never coming here again. While the service is good and the food taste good as well they are too expensive I went in for strawberries and cream and got... the usual that I always get which is a small cup and I was given a really small cup for $5. I could of went to a different placewhere I would be paying the exact same price for a much bigger cup. i brought my grandkids to La chapulita to get some ice cream, they have 47 plus varieties of flavors to chose from, the... grandkids chose the chocolate flavor ice cream in a waffle cone and also in cups for the younger grandkids.I chose to try theLime sherbet ice cream in a waffle cone, after the first taste i was so amazed at the great flavor, it is the best homemade icecream I have ever tasted! The store also has ice cream pops and fresh fruit plates , milk shakes, Elotes (corn in a cup Mexicanrecipe ) aguas de frutas frescas(fresh fruit drinks) & there is quite a variety of item's available to eat on their menu. Wow, I mean wow. Okay outside of ice cream don?t you dare order anything else. I ordered a large shrimp cocktail and when I got... home and opened the container it filled my house up with the smell of old shrimp. My god. At first I didn?t think much of it Ifigured it was something else until I took a bite of the shrimp and I almost threw up. My stomach is in knots and I can?t getthat nasty smell out my mouth. 2 Mangonadas that tasted like water. 1 Revolcada that had 99% veggies, 0% dry pork skin at the bottom (it had potato chips... instead) and like 1% picked pork skin. -- I only order it because of the pickled pork skin. 2 corns were simply "no mayo"turned into hot sauce at the bottom, hardly any cheese and no sour cream, butter, or lime juice. Amazing desserts of all kinds! Fresh fruit with condiments, aguas frescas, hand made ice cream flavors like chocolate capuchino... and Gansito, and even corn in a cup! My favorites are fresas con crema(strawberries and creme) and corn in the cup with lots ofextra hot sauce. Read more

Large menu selection, great Mexican snacks. Sarah loves the elote. They offer little cups to get salsa and lemon pepper... seasoning to go. They have great aguas frescas and the fresh fruit plates. The biggest downside is the very slow service. Thefood is worth it but plan to wait awhile. Read more
