We've been there like 3 or 4 times and the food is definitely good. The plates are generous, variety in rice, variety in queso,... and drinks. Close to real Mexican flavors. They do have to up their game in the service category though. This last time we went,the waitress was just not 100% with it. She took forever to bring out drinks, we had to wave her down to get refills, and justwasn't on top of it. And we're not picky people. I've worked in the service industry for many years, we were the only table inthe whole restaurant so there was no reason for her to take that long in serving and checking. But like I said, we've been theremultiple times and only this past time was this an issue. Other times before the service has been fine. She might have been new.Not sure. But the food, delicious! Found this hidden gem in Balch Springs. This place served authentic Mexican food. Plates are not big so you can?t share with... someone else. Lol The chicken mole and flautas were savory. I was blown away by how great of an experience I had at Rivieras. Incredible!! First off, the restaurant was clean, had great... tables, and great background music. We were sat right away and given chips and a salsa trio to eat at while we looked at themenu. The staff were very helpful and nice. We felt like family. It was hard to choose what to get, but I decided on theMagnificas. It came with a cheese enchilada, beef enchilada, and chicken enchilada, with taco, beans, and rice. The flavor wasinsane. I think Rivieras puts incredible attention to detail to their food, and makes it stand out. It certainly is better thanyour average Tex-mex. these guys are legit! Everyone at my table cleared their plates and were constantly saying how good thefood was. We finished off with a cuatro leches cake, which was devoured in less than 10 seconds.
