Wow, is this place just a great "hidden gem"! I am reluctant to rate/post/publicize as such though - only because I also... really appreciate their "locals/cozy" nature/atmosphere here as well. I am new to the area & after having been a local/regularat certain supposed "locals type" establishments elsewhere for more than 30yrs - Avg Joe's has already made me feel more local,and more welcomed than I had been previously, nearly anywhere! I am rapidly (and gladly) becoming a regular here - and will beas long as they keep Colleen & Sarah in particular - who after even only my 3rd time back - both recognized & greeted me by nameand already knew my selections preferences, to let me know about their availability & offer them, plus comparables. They have agreat mix of events, including Trivia nights, Live Music nights - (where they attract great talent, as well as crowds!) all thewhile balancing that out about as adeptly as I've ever experienced any establishment, again - with the recognizing theirlocal(s) clients/regulars & making them still feel truly welcomed, appreciated & comfortable as well. Good food at good prices. Was here the night Pop Rox performed and it was great! One of the bartenders was pouring shots into... people's mouth from top of the bar. Only bad thing was one set of restrooms were closed, but, I guess $h!t happens. Read more
I've been trying new pizza places in the area and figured I'd give this one a shot. Let me tell you, it was a big mistake. I... didn't even end up eating it and bought pizza from somewhere else. The crust was burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock at thetop, but the underneath of the pizza was undercooked? Not sure how that happened. The pizza was basically cold, the pepperoniwas burnt but also undercooked, the cheese was rubbery, and the sauce tasted like someone put a can of regular tomato sauce onit and called it a day. Waste of money. No thanks. Read more
Great spot for locals. Listened to a band there, they sounded great. Even with a full house, food and drinks came out fast.
