I was brought here once on a date and have been returning ever since. I like to come here now with my friends to enjoy a drink... after work or in the evening to trade stories and have a light bite. Coming here has changed the drinking experience for mewhich I normally tend to not like due to my sensitive stomach and taste. When I visit I know the drinks are going to be wellmade and thought out. The staff is going to be courteous, knowledgeable, and welcoming of my many many questions. Read more

Came here with friends on a Friday night a few weeks ago and still thinking about these amazing cocktails they have. It's a gin... bar but no matter your palate they'll most likely have something you'll enjoy. I'm a big rum and whiskey fan and their MidnightRye-der was especially tasty. Drinks were all 10/10 Food was more hit or miss 6/10 This was such a cute place with awesome, cozy outdoor seating. It also was really easy to have a private conversation without feeling like you were shouting. Staff wassuper friendly and willing to help us all find something we'd genuinely enjoy. Read more

Extremely fun cocktails and kicked off our night wonderfully. The smoked beet hummus was a delicious appetizer to go along with... our cocktails. The bar space is absolutely gorgeous! I wish we lived closer as it's well worth a return to Baltimore toexperience again. Read more

I arrived here shortly after opening on Friday afternoon and luckily found a seat at the bar. It was busy and bustling and the... rest of the evening’s crew was rolling in as the many guests were. I was greeted promptly with menus and water. There were somany options in the realm of cocktails I simply couldn’t choose. One of the bartenders, Dan I believe, made the choice for mewhen asked. Even while they were incredibly busy by this point, the bartender had my cocktail in front of me moments later, aptly named Patiently Waiting, which was balanced, nuanced, and perfectly chilled. My second drink was their Gin Buck (but Irequested a shot of Fernet over top which they happily fulfilled) and it was spicy, effervescent, and refreshing. My thirdbeverage was their house 50/50 Martini made with navy strength gin. As a martini (and vermouth) connoisseur, I had my socksknocked off. I enjoy finding other ways to show my appreciation to the staff besides just tipping, and asked what I could dofor them to show my gratitude for their hospitality. I was told that I could buy them a bottle of rum (Doctor Bird) and I highlyrecommend it. They even gave me a taste and it was unique and rich with terroir. Additionally, I left with a bottle of Willet4-year rye from their retail shelf which is impossible to find in my home state. The combination of the natural light spillinginto the happiest of hours, the staff’s warm hospitality, and the bar’s great menu made a solid first impression on me as acocktail and spirits enthusiast. While I was only visiting town for a weekend, it is definitely a place I will recommend toothers near and far. If and when I find myself in Baltimore I will most definitely return. Read more

Chef Brian’s menu was exquisite. We came for the Valentine’s Day prix fixe, and were delighted that it was just as good as... we imagined it would be. Each course was beautifully plated, with an exciting combination of flavors. The portions were justright; not too large or too small. Everything had fresh, pleasing textures and complimented the following dish. Our drinks, bothfizzes, were also excellent in texture and flavor and we were impressed with the vastness of cocktail menu. Over the course ofour meal, several staff members served us and checked in with us, even with nearly a full house. The ambiance was lively withoutbeing crowded; a classy atmosphere that didn’t feel stuffy. A real gem in Charles Village. We shall be returning! Read more

Fantastic, creative cocktails and food. Excellent service, owned and run by very nice people (nice matters). Their outdoor setup... is fantastic, I have felt very safe in their heated/open tent during COVID. Read more

I admit— I’m in love with Dutch Courage. Who knew I’d like gin this much? Their seasonal menus always have something for... everyone (gin based, non-gin mixed, and even 2 spiritless options)— or the bartenders will definitely make you somethingyou’ll like! All staff is incredibly sweet, friendly, skillful, and they work hard at their jobs AND maintaining COVID safetymeasures. Shoutout to… literally everyone they’re all great! Forgive me, once I have some alcohol in me, names are the firstthing that Go. Their drinks are a great balance of flavor vs alcohol content. Their summer 2021 menu got me addicted to thespot, but GINgle Bells 2021 kept me coming back with my quarantine pod! I tried nearly the whole menu but forgot to take photosof most cause it was so GOOD! The chefs really know how to balance flavors with the drink menu. The “whole smoked poussin”was probably one of the best birds I ever ate tasted. Juicy, earthy, and crisp on the outside— the jus, brussels, and celeryroot purée (if I remember correctly) were amazing! Chic interior, spacious outdoor patio in the back (it’s heated, but dressin warm layers cause you’re definitely still outside). The glassware is all unique and specially curated for an eclecticmix. A great spot for friends, to bring visitors from out of area, for a date, heck bring your work for their $6 cocktail ofthe day special. I will find any excuse for someone to bring me to Dutch Courage, haha. Read more
