I was coming up to Baltimore for the day and wanted to try this place when I saw one word: RISOTTO! I've never had restaurant... risotto before & the mushroom one was delicious! Their menu offered a good selection of meat & vegetarian options, withcustomization for vegans too! Great decor, with nice clean gender neutral bathrooms. Joe Squared is an excellent local pizza place in downtown Baltimore. The service, food, and facility are all great. Friendly... people take time to explain their offerings and make sure you have a good experience. The location is small but tidy and has acool vibe. Good to go on a slightly off hour if you want to avoid a crowd. Of course, their food is the best part. Ordered threepizzas on our first visit to get a good sampling... veggie, cheese, and combo. All three were excellent, with a delicious crispycrust and a very generous amount of toppings. Wish we lived closer to come more often, but at least parking is not hard to find.Definitely give them a try! They are worth making a special trip for if you want to try something local and different. Read more
I normally do not write reviews. I ordered a meatball sub and got this. There are no meatballs. Just a flat pile of questionable... meat mush and burnt cheese crust on the top half. My side of fries were also burnt, almost black. I spent $33 on this dinner andthe quality truly just isn?t up to par at all. So disappointed. Read more
I love worker-owned businesses, so it was extremely satisfying to know that a place this good is worker owned. The pizza was a... really unique style, and, as somebody who doesn't usually like square pizza, incredible. Me and my brother did the half and halfoption, which is really convenient for two or more people eating together. I also got a broccoli soup that was surprisinglyhearty and well-seasoned. The atmosphere was extremely cool, my only wish is that we had gotten better seats, but it's not theirfault the place was packed (in fact, it's to their credit). Pizza is outstanding thin crust style pizza best eaten fresh from the oven. Do offer a half-baked option for eating the pie at... home. Everything was outstanding, including the service. Read more
Ordered the Lombardi and the chicken avocado pizzas, fries, and ginger pine nut wings. The chicken pizza was very taco like and... good! The Lombardi is usually my meat pizza go to. Both pizzas were great. The ginger pine nut wings were not my cup of tea.They were sweeter than expected and we didn?t really taste much ginger in them. The fries I know are when fresh could beamazing but they suffer so much from delivery as they steam and get very very wet. We always have the oven preheating to tossthem into. But they look and taste like good boardwalk style fries. I wish they could maybe ventilate better while beingdelivered or something. You can see in the wings pictures the boxes keep the moisture locked in which isn?t best for fries. This time the pizzas were a little cool too so we put them in too. Over all we will continue to order from Joe squared even ifthey?re a little pricey. They quality is good. (We didn?t order it this time but I do love the Hawaiian pizza here!) Read more
The pizza here is so delicious!! We couldn?t decide, so we tried 4 different kinds, which I totally recommend doing! We had the... Crab pizza, Irish pizza (corned beef - so good!), Chicken & Balsamic pizza, and the Cumin-Braised Lamb pizza. They weresuper-friendly and helpful, and the food was so good!! Definitely recommend. BEWARE! Ordered the shrimp risotto and was overly disappointed with its taste and what was inside. It was terribly salty with... cheap I DON'T KNOW WHAT instead of REAL SHRIMP. I paid $20+ for this. I even added extra shrimp, lol. Why even have this item onthe menu if REAL SHRIMP aren't going to be used. I get it..... let's blame the pandemic again. This is ridiculous. Also orderedcheese bread for $6. Really? It was a roll cut in half then cut into 2 pieces .... $3 for each 3inX3in piece. Read more
