This is by far THEE BEST Restaurant experience that I've ever had. The food was AMAZING! We had the Winter Prix Fixe 6 course... menu; and when I tell you that it was worth me flying in specifically to experience this restaurant! The Italian-SausageMeatloaf slider, Nitro Shrimp over grits, Caesar Salad w/Jalapeno Corn Bread, Amuse Bouche, Blue Plate Special and Sweet PotatoBread Pudding....ALL was AMAZING! Chef Sean Guy put his foot and creativity in each dish! The explosion of flavors were superb!!Not to mention the Customer Service was Phenomenal!!! I can't wait to visit Baltimore again, this restaurant is #1 on my list tovisit! Read more

Everything looks and tastes great. It's rare to find a creative soul food restaurant that gives so much attention to how meals... are plated. The sweet potato polenta was so intricately layered with a mountain of veggies piled atop an over easy egg that Iwas reluctant to knock it all down to eat it. The jalapeno cornbread was thick and fluffy with kernels of corn included. Itdidn't go too heavy on the peppers, but was balanced just right. The goat cheese mac could've been cheesier, but the cavatappinoodles were a huge plus. Just to sample one more item, I got the black eye pea curry to go and it was amazing. A great combo ofAfrican and Indian vibes in one dish. Overall, a very positive first experience that makes me want to come back and try more ofthe menu. Read more

Everything about this place was a vibe! ???????? I landed on this spot in search of a Solo brunch date with myself. My initial... choice was closed so a Google search sent me to a blog post with the best spots in Baltimore. I must agree! WFC was a littlehard to find bc from the outside it looks closed, but it’s not! They recommend reservations but will take walk-ins. Theexecutive chef is visible & will ask for feedback which is nice. I came hungry for a good brunch & that’s exactly what Ireceived. I ordered a pitcher of “Dope Juice” (their signature red sangria) had more than enough to share a glass & takesome home lol, Salmon Belly Tacos w/ a salad (both were very tasty- a mango salsa would’ve paired perfectly????, Parmesangrits (good but a little dry for my liking) & OMGOODNESS the Sweet potato Bread Pudding!!! ???????? Divine!!! Soooo freakin’good!! ???? Overall 5 stars for food & staff???? I can’t wait to come back & tryout dinner! FYI- On Saturdays they close at3pm & re-open again at 5pm for dinner prix fixe reservations. Read more

I had a pleasant dining experience. When I approached the door, I was taken back by the "curtain" like entry and small space. I... expected it to be noisy, especially seated by the open kitchen. Although it was not, I enjoyed the open kitchen and seeing theinterworkings of the goods being prepared. The food was overall fantastic. Everything was perfect, and we ordered so much totaste. I had the Nitro Ship and Chicken dumpling. The charred octopus and scallops were cooked exceptionally well and came withparmesan grits, which were seasoned well too. Unfortunately, they didn't have the crab quesadilla, so we sided on the vegetableone, which was still okay. The goat cheese mac did not disappoint; while it wasn't the creamy texture, it is worth tasting thisspin on the homestyle delight. Read more

Dined the evening of New Year’s Day. ALL AROUND INCREDIBLE. If you’re into contemporary international fusion cuisine, this... is it. The restaurant is small but who cares- they social distance and the ambience and vibe is what sets it off. Greeted andseated immediately, we were 20 mins early for our 7pm reservation- no problem. We arrived early to allow time to find streetparking so make sure you plan for that. The gentleman taking care of us was exceptional. Knew the menu and preparation likethe back of his hand. The menu was prefix but they offered many options. Keep in mind that there may be add-ons to the prefixcost so if you want a little extra, build it into your bill. Plan for a 5 course meal for dinner. They pace you for eachoffering so that you can fully enjoy each course. We were the last ones in the restaurant and didn’t even feel rushed toleave. Our server even offered us another cocktail, we declined, but that goes to show that they care about their customersexperience. Compliments to the chef, he went out of his way to thank us for coming and wished us a HNY! The photos speak foritself. We will definitely be back soon. Read more

While I typically find brunch to be my least favorite of all meals, a bit of decisional purgatory for me, I always found this... place to be one of the better offerings around the Baltimore area. Not having been here for over a couple years, I was glad tosee they survived the shut downs over the same period. Having revamped the space of their corner Butcher Hill restaurant which amore contemporary feel, it still retained a portion of the charm that I recollect. With the chef in the exposed, open kitchenand serving up some tasty southern style dishes that the area has a lack of. On this particular day the group ordered just about3/4 of the dishes, which allowed for a nice tasting of each. With three of the dishes served with a side of grits, it was a bitof an overload there. But, the cauliflower steak was prepared tenderly with a flavorful season and spice, the shrimp and gritshad a tasty tangy sauce served with a delicious piece of homemade cornbread that I just loved. The least favorite of the bunchwas the charred octopus and scallop dish which just didn’t fit much in the scheme and seemed to be more a dish best served atsupper. My favorite, ever since my first visit, Is the sweet potato polenta served below a freshly prepared bed of freshveggies, eggs and goat cheese. For me everything about this dish works as it melts a lovely blend of both the lunch andbreakfast worlds. The sweetness of the polenta combined with the savory remaining items brings this atop the list of dishes totry here. Make a resy should you plan to visit as there is quite the limited space.
