Being a beautiful Saturday afternoon, my husband and I thought it would be nice to have lunch at Applebee's after attending the... Bangor craft show. Our name was added to the list and we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. That was agreeable to us,so we took a place in the waiting area. My husband is a disabled, Vietnam veteran and is confined to a wheelchair. We patientlywaited for our turn to be seated, watching people who came in after us be taken to tables. After about 40 minutes, and being theonly people waiting, I asked if we were ever going to be seated. The gentleman who took our name reassured me the they werecleaning a table for us and then disappeared. My husband and I feel that we were not welcome at the restaurant because of himbeing in a wheelchair. We left and went across the street to the Olive Garden and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Came In for birthday dinner, ordered appetizer and drinks, ordered 2 fried fish dinners. When we cut into fish, both were... frozen solid. Could not even cut threw them. Told waitress. Order was taken back, we were giving a lot of reasons why thathappened. My question to her was it should of been Temped before cooks sent it through. My understanding is that temps arealways taken to make sure food doesn't make someone sick. So then we were told we didn't have to pay for the 2 meals, but had topay for appetizer. Really? Have to say we were very disappointed with our visit yesterday. We were there at 11 and the first through the door. We... ordered the all you could eat wings and waited an hour for our food. People who were seated well after us were served waybefore. Complained to waitress after 45 mins and she said they were sort staffed. Strange that the other tables wereserved... First time at an Applebee's in over 15 years. Loved it! Food was very good, seasoned fries were awesome great flavor, waiter was... on the ball, very friendly. Hostess/ host was not present for close to 10 minutes after arrival. Staff didn't even acknowledgeus or let us know that someone would be right with us. We almost left. Glad we didn't but it certainly would've been reason toleave. Read more
Hands down the best dine-in experience. Quick service. Wonderfull friendly and helpful staff. Our server Alex was extraordinary... even by the high standards this place offers. Our food came quick and tasted heavenly. Though the place was quite full serviceand food were on point, promptly yet we never felt pushed or rushed. Best steaks I have ever tasted. Fantastic wings. Applebee's food was really good!! Had a great time celebrating the day with some delicious dinner and good friends. The staff is... amazing our waitress was so sweet friendly and a great server. Sat at the bar, where the bartender was amazing!!! ???? Non-stop drinks (including all of the ridiculous frozen shakes and... drinks) while waiting on a constant full bar. Kudos to Michael! Read more
Haven't been out much since COVID-19, and after this visit I am glad I never made the effort. Everything just wasn't right. The... server was very mechanical and rehearsed and didn't deviate from her routine. The food was absolutely horrible. There was solittle of it that the two of us went somewhere else after we left to get real food. They brought us bones that had no meat onthem, and probably a dozen individual fries (tiny amount). Nothing was anything like I had remembered when I had last been to anApplebee's, and every bit of the food was disappointing. The iced tea tasted moldy. That means that they're mixing iced teathat's left over with the new batch(es) when they make more. Even something as simple as tea bags and water had a contaminatedtaste to it. I'm not anxious to return because I don't see that there's ever going to be an improvement. They have let theirquality level drop dramatically, and there's no reason to believe it will ever reverse it's trend. Read more
