Everytime I go here I get a parfait, devour it in 5 or 10 minutes and spend the rest of the day wondering if I will every feel... hungry again. If you have one of these at noon it probably won't be until around 9-10pm that you crave food once more. Thisisn't a complaint. It's kind of a feature. If you like feeling agonizingly full. But they have a large menu so if youre not intothat just get a scoop or two of their other offerings. But if you want decadent, have a parfait. It offers all the trappings ofchain ice cream parlors except richer, more flavorful and more filling. So yeah, I like Giffords. Read more
Wonderful place. Outdoor seating. Large portions. We ask for cups to put kids cones in to give us back up. ???? AND we take baby... wipes. Can't recommend that enough, for after your kids dive into that ice cream with enthusiasm. You may need a couple too.???? Read more

New flavor offerings every year/month. Some of the best ice cream in Maine. A little hard to get out of due to location. May... have to wait a few minutes to exit parking lot. They do have picnic tables in the rear for nice weather if you want to sitoutside and eat. Read more
So many flavours and yummy ice cream. The long wait was worth it. I got the mint chocolate chip and it was very minty and large... chunks of chocolate chips. Yum. My husband got peanut butter caramel cookie dough and he's picky and loved his. Definitely aflavor for everyone in your group.
