Let me start by saying Love Jersey Mike?s subs. But I cannot say this was a good experience. Food was good. Always is but the... Bangor location was short staffed and needed a good cleaning. The poor guy on the grill was trying to do everything. He wasworking the grill, helping in the back and helping with orders. Had to clean the grill on the e middle of our 4 person order soone person got to watch the others eat. He felt so bad about it he gave us some free sub tickets. But as I said the food wasgood. Food is great but they must not have any kind of sensor/alert system for the pick up area because every time I use it I wait... forever for someone to notice me waiting outside. You don?t want to be the guy that knocks on the window or calls but sometimesit feels like that?s the only way to alert anyone inside, and there?s no guidance posted so you just have to wait and assumesomeone will eventually help you. Edit: after going inside to pick up the order because nobody helped at the window, it seemedthat someone had just taken it. Love Jersey Mikes. Grew up on Jersey Shore with the original! Stopped at this location to spotless facilities, energetic and... accommodating servers and the best sub!!! It was packed at 11:30am! But line moved efficiently. Yummmm!!!! Read more
Girlfriend and I had stopped in to get a salad bowls. She was really excited because ones in the south are awesome. I had never... tried. What we got were the tiniest portions for a salad. It was smaller than any of the other competitors in the areaespecially at the price. She also had to repeatedly tell the person there that she wanted to have hers done the Mike's way andthey still screwed it up. What we did get was decent taste wise. AWESOME. I highly recommend trying Jersey Mikes! The food is very fresh (great bread, meats, and vegetables). I was also there... during lunch rush and the line moved very fast. The prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and willing todescribe the menu in detail to a new customer. I will definitely be going back! Read more
(TL;DR - Overall, it's a 4 out of 5. They make great sandwiches that are nonetheless expensive. Online ordering is below... average, just order in person.) Reviews for this place are all over the place. I'll do my best to write an even, fairassessment and address points that were mentioned in other reviews. 1) As others have said, it is expensive. Expect to pay$8-$10 for just a six inch sub. 2) The music in the lobby was not too loud or overbearing as others have complained. I couldhear the employees fine. 3) The employees were not angry or mean. If anything, they were rushed because of being busy - butthat's understandable. 4) The sandwiches themselves are good tasting, high quality, and packed with meat, cheese, and toppings.They are substantially better tasting than Subway and much more filling. 5) Online ordering is not a pleasant experience. Super rude, super expensive. Some lady yelled at my friend who I was with to come grab his sandwich. Lack of toppings. Super... rude staff. very disappointed. Let me tell you I am a MAJOR food critic. I recently went to this location and got a 6 inch steak and cheese. I added mushrooms,... peppers and onions of course with light mayo. Everything about the sub was PERFECT, from the way the mushrooms, onions andpeppers were cut to the cheese melt throughout the steak, the bread was even toasted perfectly. The portions are pretty generousas well, I will be back asap.. After my first visit I know they hold true to their slogan of "A sub above" Try them out!! Read more
