Our first ever trip to Maine and had to try Sea Dog. I got the fried scallops, came with fries and slaw?.DELICIOUS! Also tried 5... beers in a flight. I've been here twice in the last 3 days for lunch. I often ask for unusual combinations when I order a sandwich. I am sort of a... Reuben connoisseur and like to mix up my protein choices. I asked for a blackened haddock filet instead of the sliced pastramithat is often the usual. The sandwich was absolutely amazing with just the right amount of saurekraut balanced with thousandsIs. dressing. The marbled rye bread was nicely toasted and held up well with the moist ingredients. The haddock was perfectlycooked and succulent beyond belief. What a well balanced sandwich! The best I have had since a chunked corned beef brisketreuben up in whitewater Wisconsin. The sweet potatoes fries were awesome too. Page, our waitress, was very accommodating with myunusual requests and even had extra blueberries added to my Blueberry ale. All around a great experience! Beer and food are absolutely amazing. Service left much to be desired. I had to wait for the bartenders to notice me most of the... time, and they seemed to not look in my corner for some reason, evem with me raising my hand and waving. They also had my checkwrong, but by the time I was paying, I didn't want to wait around any more for them to notice me to correct it.That being said,every single beer I had as well as the bowl of clam chowder and pork jaegerschnitzel I had were delicious and amazing. It's agreat place, and the next time I pass theough Bangor, I would definitely come back if other people were working the bar. Read more
It's it big place with good selection of local beer. Had fish n chips, and the lobster roll. The fish was great, and the roll... was entirely claws. I like a bit of tail meat in my lobster rolls. But it was still alright. Read more
Nice bar inside and out. Roomie inside. Outside has decent heaters and is covered to enjoy even early fall nights by the river.... Food is good. Beer is always refreshing. Fish in the fish tacos was seasoned perfectly. Only thing is tacos come with cilantrobut only seemed to be garnished with cilantro. Read more
