This was a lovely cafe. They had really nice patio seating, dog friendly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere pleasant. It... was a welcome break while traveling. Read more
The outdoor seating is very nice. We had great service. We enjoyed the Greek salad and Greek pasta. They have a large selection... of local beers on tap. There are two different kitchens with two menus so you have a wide variety to choose from. The onlynegative of the evening was the death metal music blasting from the kitchen. The cooks were dropping f bombs while blasting themusic. I don't think the guests enjoyed it as much as the kitchen staff. Read more

Wonderful service by Andrew 2 nights in a row. We stopped in on Friday and drank & ate while listening to the amazing live... music that a bunch of the bar people sang along with. The next night we were starving after a full day of skiing and wantedsomething just like the night before at Banner Elk Tavern, so we just went back! We had the pecan crusted trout one night and aspread of apps the next night. All great recommendations by our server! Read more
We came for beer because it was the only good spot open till 11pm. The draft selection is small but provides a little of... everything. There is a decent bottle beer and liquor selection. The ambiance is cool. Staff is friendly. The food...the menuhas a great array of choices. We chose lobster risotto and it's hands down some of the best we've had. I'll go back just forthat snd to try other foods. It's the best bar/restaurant I've tried so far in Banner Elk Read more

The service was bad. The food was worse. I waited 50 minutes to get a sandwich that I couldn?t even eat. We were there at 10:50... and was told that I would need to wait for the breakfast items and then my order would be made. At 11:20, I was still gettingexcuses. Then I noticed that other people had lunch items. Of course said the waitress, they ordered from the kitchen thatopened at 11. What kitchen???????? The waitress responded that she didn?t think I would like it. I wanted lunch, not breakfast. Why would I not like the lunch menu?????? She also never brought creamer or coffee refills. The dining room had many serversand it wasn?t busy on a Monday morning. I had to throw the food. The sandwich had a ?mystery? sauce and the fries were soggy. They also forgot the cheese. Read more
Stopped in for late lunch after visiting the Arts and Crafts Fair at Sugar Mountain. Only waited about 10 minutes for a table... and had a great experience. I had the Cheese steak and my wife had the French Dip, and both were excellent. The breads werefresh and the meat was done perfectly. The fries were seasoned and were some of the best that I have ever had. They had anextensive menu to suit all taste. I highly recommend!! Read more
