Our experience at Arethusa was nothing short of memorable and delightful. The menu is curated so thoughtfully- it was almost... impossible to pick between the many delicate and artful dishes. The staff at Arethusa is what made our experience- they tookextra care to be certain we had what we needed and felt incredibly welcomed. This was a night to remember!! Thank you Arethusa<3 Read more

Overrated. My strip sirloin was far from tender and served a bit cold; fish was good, but unremarkable, same with oyster... appetizer. A great focaccia appetizer suggests they are better at the Italian proper more than anything else. Expensive givenour experience. The shop next to it has a great dairy selection, worth stopping by. We enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve ever had at a restaurant in Connecticut at Arethusa. (Don’t worry mom - home cooking... is a different league). To start, the bar tender hit a grand slam with the Diablo tequila cocktail. The spices and tequilacomplemented each other to perfection. For the appetizers, the Yellowtail Tartare started with wonderfully fresh tasting fishwhich the chef enhanced with tasty Tobiko and Yuzu marinade. We also ordered “Local Tempura Squash Blossoms”. I admit Ididn’t really know what that meant, but thankfully I didn’t need to know anything to love the tastes. For the main courses, the chef packed fun and complementary flavors into the Sea Bass without distracting at all from the fish. The duck came highlyrecommended by the server and we concluded rightfully so. Read more

The food was outstanding. The heirloom tomato soup and pork tenderloin with leeks were particularly special. Service was... impeccable. If you can snag a reservation it is well worth the trip. Expensive but truly a special meal. Read more

Nothing more to say but amazing. Quality of the food was crazy! I am a big foodie and know a thing or two of quality food and... this places nails it on quality, presentation, and service. Prices are ok and not to high especially when you are getting soquality. We had the octopus, lobster avocado appetizers, swordfish and pork loin. Absolutely delicious! Read more

Arethusa is known for their dairy, so it's not far off the mark to say "Holy Cow!" about this restaurant. From the decor to the... service to the food, everything was perfection from left to right and top to bottom. My friend who took me to this restaurantdecided he wanted to create his own tasting menu, and our server was so generous about making sure the order of our "courses"made sense and were thematically cohesive. Each dish was better than the last, and all the food was outstanding. Some placesfocus on presentation and (useless) creativity over flavor but this place seriously hits it out of the park on all accounts.Reservations can be hard to get for this restaurant but it's definitely worth it. Arethusa had to be one of the most well curated and high end restaurants in all of Connecticut. The atmosphere was lively but... not too crowded, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was phenomenal. I had a sirloin dish that was cookedperfectly to medium-rare, and they could have re-used the plate because it was CLEAN by the time I was done with my meal. Read more

You get what you pay for here. Though a bit loud, the atmosphere was nice and dimly lit. The wait staff were excellent, the food... was definitely a decent portion, and they brought out complimentary bread, little cheese puffs, and tiny cookies. It’s worthgetting an appetizer, meal, and dessert while you’re here. Expect to pay up to $100 per person after tip. Read more
