Fancy restaurant, needing reservation to get a table for dining. Missed some dishes because menu was different (every night). It... was a little pricy and good on presentation. The dining room was also very nice. After first couple appetizers, the room gettingdark (kind of transitional bar style), it was a challenge to get the best pictures from the food. All looked very high end. However the food itself did not match to a very high level in cooking and taste. Nice to have some special moment, celebration,and/or anniversary, for example. A few dishes might not get full. Do prepare to get some more, e.g. a lobster roll, on thestreet (or from other bar/restaurant). Read more

Service & environment are great! Bread, Bisque, & Octopus are excellent!! Kale salads is a bit too tough & bitter. Maybe tender... soft baby kale could be better. Lobster Bolognese is a bit too salty & hard for me. Overall, it is a great experience to dinein there! Better get a reservation! Read more

Very nice restaurant. Food was excellent. My cod was very good. Only complaint was it could have been hotter. It was warm but... very tasty. My wife?s Moroccan chicken pasta dish was unique and very good I had a four roses bourbon martini that had a smokyaroma. However, it was a bit sweet for my taste. Service and waitress were excellent We sat in the dining room which Irecommend. Deck is a bit too rustic for this type of menu. Bar looked okay for lunch but a bit cramped. Dining room was verynice. They push their 4 course tasting menu. We passed on that and stayed basic Read more

This has to be one of my favorite all time dining experiences. The menu was so unique and full of flavor combinations I'd never... experienced before. The service was unrivaled, the atmosphere was comfortable and they had perfect cocktails to complement thedishes. They did not have a lot of options for dietary restrictions but they accommodated me (dairy allergy) and I was stillable to have an amazing dinner. If you like spice, you have to try the spicy drink!!! Read more

I'm giving this restaurant four stars because in Bar Harbor it seemed to be hard to find upscale fine dining, Salt and Steel... gave it a pretty good shot. If this restaurant were in urban area, I would rate it lower. I found the menu a little bit limitedand not very progressive. With that said two out of my three dishes were excellent. They recommend a tasting menu, which I wentwith. The tasting menu halfs the dishes, which in the case of the rabbit really messed with the proportions of the dish. Theservice was decent for bar harbor, it all seems to be seasonal work. Read more

Absolutely fantastic and worth checking out if you're looking for something different and special in Bar Harbor. Casual but... sophisticated experience. Excellent service. Extra points for having a cocktail that, if purchased, contributes to the localSPCA The charred Spanish octopus and pork belly ramen were incredible. I'm sure by the time you're reading this the menu willrotate to new items BUT if either of those two are available then I highly recommend you order those Read more

The food and atmosphere were perfect. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu, wine pairing, and... suggestions. If you are looking for a place while visiting Acadia National Park that offers a high end dining experience this isit. My wife and I chose here to celebrate the start to our honeymoon and we couldn't have been more happy. Everything tastedfresh, delicious, and I would put it in my top food experiences. Read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant. We did tasting menu which though they say it is smaller portions it was plenty of yummy food for... 2 people to share. Cocktails were delicious and outdoor seating area was relaxing. Waitress was very attentive and answered ourquestions about dishes. Favorite was the Hake ragu, summer corn risotto, and burrata. Yum!
