Friday October 7 was our 1st visit. I say this because we will be back. Zeman's was recommended by a co-worker who said it may... be his new favorite fish fry. Well, me too. Fish was hot, flaky and lightly battered, not greasy. The Pub chips were crispy andnot too thick. The place was very busy, no room at the bar but we got a drink and we're seated right away. Friday is OldFashioned night so very reasonably priced as was the fish fry. Shrimp came recommended but is a little pricey but qualityshrimp is pricey, we will try it another time. Service was excellent and made us feel welcomed. I did notice when food wasbrought out by a server they seemed confused as to which table the orders belonged to. Numbering the tables might help. All inall I recommend giving Zeman's a try. Read more
We were there on a Friday night. The bar was busy but we got a table right away. We hadn't been there in a while and were... surprised by the changes that were made. Definitely an improvement as the restaurant looked nice with it's new tables andchairs. We felt it was lacking of light, there were only lights on half of the ceiling. We ordered the deep fried cod and theshrimp dinner. The Cod was hot and had good taste. We didn't care for the fries, they reminded us of soggy McDonald's fries. Theprice we felt was fair for the Cod. The shrimp had 6 pieces and was hot and tasty. We ordered a baked potato to go with. Bothmeals came with rolls and coleslaw. We did not get our coleslaw and had to ask for it. We could have used more butter as we onlygot one butter pat per plate and needed butter for the rolls and baked potato. We felt $25 was a little pricey for the shrimpdinner. We didn't have any cocktails. Service was decent, they were busy. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed and wasconfused when she brought our food out. My husband had to speak up and signal to her, Cod and shrimp? All in all, we will goback. Probably won't order the shrimp, it was good but not worth $25. Read more

Fish fry was ok, kind of smaller pieces but ok, onlyb1 type of fish at the moment, no soup or salad yet, but maybe after the new... kitchen opens. Great portion of food you will not leave hungry. Very friendly staff, and the service was excellent ourwaitress was outstanding always checked up on us without over doing it. She was perfect. Have to come back again when the newkitchen opens up. I've got their fish fry almost every Friday night for the last 3 months. This is definitely the best fish fry in Baraboo by a... mile! Every meal has been excellent!! The fish is thick white pieces. The breading is light and amazing! I've received superfast service as well. I've called in for takeout mostly and it has always been ready in 10 - 15 minutes. I hope they keephaving this fish fry, and that they don't change anything. Read more
