I was brought here by my husband and in-laws, who have been coming here for decades and raved about the chicken. The chicken is... bland; there's not a speck of seasoning on it. I don't get the hype. There is something about Barberton fried chicken that is just not the same anywhere else. Growing up we ate it at least every... couple months. It's a true dining experience. Cooked in real lard it just has a taste and flavor like no other. With thetraditional sides like hot sauce, Cole slaw, and fries you just can't go wrong. Belgrade gardens keeps the tradition going. According to Trip advisor and Food Network, this is the best place to get fried chicken in Ohio. If it is, then Ohio doesn't... have very good fried chicken. The dining experience was great. The staff was very friendly. Very helpful. The chicken: thebreading is very thick and unseasoned. Which made the chicken very bland. And frankly could have been cooked more. The frieswere okay. We were passing through the state and we wanted to taste Ohio?s food. This place popped up and after reading the reviews we were... excited to see what it brought to the table. After looking at the menu and some further clarification by the wonderful lady upfront, we ordered our meal. For $25 dollars, we got 1 chicken breast, 5 wings and three sides. The chicken looks appealing butupon biting into it, there was NO SALT!! How do I pay $25 dollars for 6 pieces of chicken and not have salt? I can get morechicken with salt for cheap at a KFC. Second, the fries were SOGGY. The wonderful lady upfront told us that the food would bemade fresh but the fries were lukewarm, soggy, and had no salt! The rice was the only appealing side and the portion was tinyand damn near COLD!! (See picture for portion size) It was also the same size for the coleslaw which was vinegar based.
